I'm paying attention to that show and also Resurrection. I thought the were both cool but Resurrection is gonna be fucking creepy sad I think. I ll make threads for them if it's good up to epi 3 and no one else did.

If you can get your hands on it...you'd be better off to watch the original French show LES REVENANTS....SO much better.

Yes, but...French.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I'm almost all caught back up on season 2 of Arrow again (haven't seen this week's episode yet). They're juggling, what, like 5 villains at once now? Awesome.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Let me think about that... i mean it's really one main villain and a lead henchdude and one or two flunkies and a couple of side stories and then the Island... ok, yeah, five. Possibly six.
WheeEEEeeeee..

I just caught up too. It's being pretty awesome, have to say.

Ole lady and I just watched the first 3 episodes of Mind Games. Characters are awesome. Steve Zahns the fucking man. Reminds me of a genius version of his character from Saving Silverman.
Not sure if the idea can be sustained Long term. And shows like this with a different theme every week often bore quickly. But digging it for now.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

The new series of Cosmos: A Space Odessey has begun with Neil Degrasse Tyson. Good stuff!

I tried watching but found the spaceship premise and graphics a tad hokey...that said, the actual info is gold, and DeGrasse Tyson is the best so it's worth it for that, but I kind of had to listen while I did other stuff to tolerate it.

Well, the original did the same thing, with Sagan on the spaceship. If this follows in its footsteps, it gets way more fascinating after the intro episode.

You thought those graphics were bad? I was quite impressed with them esp the calendar bit I really dug that part.

Ah, no sorry. The spaceship graphics. The rest was good. I enjoyed it tho!

Vice season 2 started last night. Covered waste in Afghanistan and the Rio favelas gearing up for the Olympics/World Cup. If you ever want to miracle-gro your pessimism this is the show for you.

Okay, after that stellar second ep of COSMOS, I'm totally on board now. Phenomenal show really.

Continuum has started up again with season 3 and what a season starter! Talk about raising the stakes, especially with what I hope the last part will turn out to be, because that'd be FUCKING AWESOME (And really, seriously fucked up and cold-bloodedly badass)
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Has it introduced more cool scifi elements and removed either the annoying buddy cop dynamic or the genius kid's angst? I stopped watching halfway through season two because I just couldn't handle that stuff anymore. It's a show that I really want to like though, so if they fixed those elements, I'll come back.

HANNIBAL is absolutely nailing its second season. And those suits! Seriously, if this show were on HBO, it couldn't be any better.

THE FOLLOWING, which floundered towards the end of S1, is also nailing its second season. Not at Hannibal's level but pretty impressive for network fare.

BLACK SAILS - I'm still on the fence with this one. There's a lot to like, but a lot that could go awry.

VIKINGS - another S2 series improving on its first year. A lot less standing around talking and a lot more hitting things with axes while screaming.

THE AMERICANS - i see a theme here.... S2, playing to all its strengths. Really works well with a storyline - KGB deep cover agents in Reagan Cold War 80s USA - that could go wrong if not treated with respect.

GRIMM - Silly urban fantasy fun but has hit its stride nicely in its third year. Has managed to minimize most (not all) of the tedious elements and gone fairly freaky with a freak of the week formula. Good silly fun.

HELIX - on the bubble with me. When it's good, it's very good, but when it's bad, it's painful. Split is about 60/40 right now. Am still watching but it wouldn't take much to nudge me away.

ARROW - Loving it. I don't care about the comic source material, i don't care that it's on the CW with manadatory hotties and abs quotas per episode. This show is having all kinds of fun.

AGENTS OF SHIELD - Liking more than i'm not. Not always as clever as it pretends to be, but the characters have become engaging. Still in.

INTELLIGENCE - I gave up.

ALMOST HUMAN - ended well enough. I won't weep if it isn't renewed for a S2, but i'll watch if it is.

TRUE DETECTIVE - ended brilliantly. Best show on tv in recent memory.

DRAGONS: DEFENDERS OF BERK - Have to skip about every third ep or so when it panders to its kiddie audience with a 'cute' episode, but sometimes this show is so much fun and totally builds on HTTYD while building to the sequel.

GAME OF THRONES - Apr 4. PSYCHED!

Am watching Grimm with Mrs Tiste at the moment. Kind of a cross between Castle & BTVS, not as good as either but still pretty entertaining. Monroe is easily the best character!

BSG S4: Kara Thrace is about 47 kinds of badass...like repeatedly.

I can't even compute her excellence.

Also...

I too never saw more than half an episode of BSG at scattered times.

It's on the list, but honestly, shows like Archer, Breaking Bad and Dr. Who are taking precedence over it in the List of Things to Be Watched Eventually.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
