"Soooo Switzerland is like the Alabama of Europe?"

Agreed. Can't wait till next week.

That Mexican rant was a bit out of place, wasn't it?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Yes, it's usually directed at the USA.

Edit: ...or the French.

I enjoyed Spartacus, especially the middle to last episodes.

Spoiler

Re-watching the first season of Modern Family. Still great stuff.

This week's episode of Archer was the first one I've actually not enjoyed. The other Odin-based one is probably my favourite next to the Diversity Hire one, and most of the elements that made that one awesome were missing in this.

Just finished second season of Fringe. First season was alright, but the last several episodes of season 2 kicked ass. Glad I gave fringe another go. I expect awesomeness from season 3.

Battlestar Galactica started on Sky Atlantic last week, and I recorded it - I'm totally new to it, but a lot of people have said it's good, so I thought I'd check it out.

I just went to watch it, and although it says it is Season one, Episode one, it starts with...'previously on Battlestar Galactica...' with a bunch of flashbacks.

Wat?

Help please, I don't want to start watching it if there's something else before it that I don't know about.

Cheers, T.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Never had time to watch Lost when it was on tv. So i always said when the series was over i'd go back and watch it. And ended up watching the first 10 episodes in a row.

I'm not sure yet if its really good, or just intersting enough to keep me wondering whats gonna happen next.

Perhaps you have missed the Pilot., I'll see if I can check it out tomorrow. I've got all 4 seasons and 3 movies of BsG ( 2 of them about BsG and 1 being the Pilot from Caprica)

As you may know from my discussions here on the forum, I have some strong criticisms to make about Lost's run. It's still very much worth watching though.

You will be immensely entertained by a very large chunk of it. The first season was good, but the show really gets going once the Hatch is opened (the end of Season 1). That's when the mysteries really get going and the characters start to become more intense and develop sprawling backstories that provide so much fodder for speculation and appreciation.

Although... ratchet down your expectations for the final season and any answers that you're expecting. It's a controlled stumble to the end, rather than a glorious headlong burst.

Actually, as an avid BSG fan who owns all the eps and movies on DVD, I say skip the miniseries. Its tone was uneven, and it very nearly put me off the series.

I blame it for why the series never really caught on with a larger audience.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I totally agree. It's easy to piece together the significant events in the mini-series in the first few episodes of season one. Basically, if you decide to press on:

Spoiler

That covers it (if you didn't already figure that out yourself... or Google it.)

All in all, barring a few slumps and unnecessary side-plots, it's a great show. Definitely recommend.

Eh, I never said that the miniseries were spectacular, I just informed him what he missed. :( If he's going to watch the show, he might as well watch the miniseries.

V was getting really bad for a while there but oh man this week's ep (gaping plot holes notwithstanding) was AWESOME. I'm telling you: Season finale. Erica v Anna. Amputated tail strangulation. Watch for it.

FRINGE was brilliant last week. Also, holy fuck.
