Just watched an episode of the Lethal Weapons TV-show. I feel violated. Is nothing sacred to these people?

They cancelled it I thought, after the lead guy was an abusive dick to people including his co-stars and fired...? It was yes, fucking terrible.

I am SO hyped for new VM.

Re: Lethal Weapon, they actually just replaced that guy with a new character. It still might be canceled since then, not sure, but it lasted at least another season with a non-Riggs character.

There's a fairly obvious Mel Gibson joke there...

Are we talking new series or movie here? Either way, I'm on board!
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

It's an 8 episode limited series, presumably one-and-done. I would love it if it's the kind of relationship that leads to multiple limited series that aren't necessarily one new season every year though. That's one of the potential beauties of non-network TV imo.

Rewatching Deadwood before the movie. I watched the first 2 seasons multiple times, but season 3 only once.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Haha yah BK's been all about Killing Eve. I was gonna make it my next binge show, but now QB has reminded me I wanted to rewatch Deadwood.

Edit: by QB I of course meant Slow Ben.

Started watching Bodyguard. I tend to miss all of the big BBC things, not sure why and the iPlayer app on our TV is really clunky so we never bother with catch up. Spotted it on Netflix so started watching and it's so good. Two episodes in. Almost good enough to make up for the feeling that I have paid for it twice.

Yes I loved that show even if they got a few procedural things a bit wrong... (Incidentally my wife doesn't like watching police stuff with me any more for some reason...)

Watched the first episode of HBO's CHERNOBYL. Man, that's not easy to watch...but it's VERY well done.

I think the most surprising thing so far is how badly the on-site manager who conducted the experiment that caused Reactor 4 to blow, Anatoly Dyatlov, fucked up by hiding what had truly happened from everyone. People told him the core exploded and he refused too believe it...then with evidence he saw right after of graphite on the ground in highly radioactive pieces, he STILL covered it up. If not for him, they could have evacuated Pripyat, NOT sent in unprotected firefighters, not sent in ANOTHER shift of workers, ect. That mother fucker died in a gulag in like 1995, but as Jarod Harris's character Legamov says at the beginning in the opening scene, Dyatlov deserved death for what he did that morning in April 1986.

But yes, VERY hard to watch and I expect it won't get easier, some of these main characters died like two weeks after the incident because they were so close to Reactor 4 while the core was still on fire and beaming into SPACE with light.
