Any you nerds watching Jeopardy! All-Star Games? I missed day one, so am somewhat confused about how it is supposed to work (maybe one of you nerds can explain?).

Anyway, if I had the spot next to Ken Jennings, I would punch him in the throat so he couldn't talk. Dude is too fast with the signaling device and too flippin' knowledgeable about everything.

I think I'm gonna try and watch this event to its completion. Any you nerds on board with it? yes? no? meh?

Does it have proper superpowers? One of the annoying things about Netflix and Gotham and arrow, etc. Has been how low key the shows are.

I mean yes...budget constraints have mean that Beast Boy is only transforming into a tiger for the first season, but both Kory and Raven exhibit their powers properly and often. And there are other DC characters who show up and use their powers too.

It's surprisingly well done and i - who was beyond sceptical - am enjoying the hell out of it.

I think we're all surprised it actually turned out to be good when pretty much everything about it was screaming that it wouldn't be.

It's a good thing.

...Got the final episode of Titans to watch tonight, I had to drag myself away from it last night. Much better than I thought it was going to be, I got bored of all the other DC superhero shows and stopped watching them but this is top notch TV.

Ha, funny, exactly same here, finished ep 10 and had to stop 11 at about 20min in, REALLY need to finish it tonight.

Finally, finally finished the finale.
Damn, that was NUTS.

I read that the production team and DC were so happy with the series that they hamered thru S2 approval so that they could re-edit the finale to save the REALLY huge parts for the S2 premiere.
Having watched it now, i see why. I am SO SO HAPPY they got a S2. This was easily the bestest superhero tv i have watched since the first Arrowverse crossover thing.

Anybody watching the Teen Titans show on Netflix?

I just watched a clip from episode 11 season 1, not sure if it was a season finale climax but it was pretty damn crazy. I'm kinda wondering if I should jump in.

The clip I'm referring to is:

Massive spoiler!

Spoiler

I won't spoil for you, but yeah, you should really watch the show.

And keep watching thru the finale credits. FFS DO NOT not watch thru the credits.

Finally got around to watching the last two episodes of umbrella academy.

I'm conflicted about this show. It has so many things going for it but I just don't like the story. It's interesting but it doesn't live up to the potential of the first episode. The characters are great and weird, I just wish they were more super.

I probably will watch a new season if they make one but I'm not exactly enamoured with it.

Uhhh, I'm 15 minutes into Titans on Netflix. What the fuck? This is the most violent shit I've seen on TV in ages. DCs cinematic universe is sunshine and rainbows compared to this.

I'm in Love.

The action is really well done. When it's violent, it's fucking violent.

And given that at times they have to hold back or guide the story for budget reasons, ie: they can't show 'superpowers' as often as your average comic book, they still do a really good job of it.

Oh man the OA was bonkers but what a journey! Going to be so lost in S2 but I doubt I'll get a chance to rewatch S1.

Explain to me the premise of OA. From the trailer it seems that 5 people are jumping through realities, shifting consciousness. It seems to be centered on some lady and a missing kid?

What is the conflict?

I peeked at the spoiler but I'm still not sure about the concept.

Anyway, episode 2 of Titans. I'm just never going to get enough of super violence in this show. It's refreshing that they don't pretend that beating somebody up isn't ugly, even when it's a mook.

Also Starfire doesn't fuck around.

If you told me a year ago that i would watch a live action tv show where DC comics character Starfire, dressed as a 70s street hooker, is awesome, i would have mugged you for whatever you were smoking.
