I love the girls and how Fanny become more than Dance Mrs. Gilmore. The tiny girl getting a job in Marvelous Mrs Maisel was great too. They're all superb actors and I really liked Trudy as the obsessed ex that became more.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I think that means it's hitting the right buttons. I'm not watching it because the whole idea of it just sounds way too creepy for me.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Ok this is weird. Is the capitalized 'Out' a continuation of creeps me out? Cause technically, you can't do something out to somebody's core.

What if they keep their core in an external storage?
Is it still a 'core' at the point? ...or just a set of vital organs held in an interactively functional exterior stasis device?

Is that because it is basically "Trump's second term"
Or would that excite you?

Umm I read it last year so I'm familiar with the story.
There's an ultra right wing, ultra conservative, ultra religious government who strip back the rights of women and only the super rich have any sort of power...
Now think about the story of the Handmaid's Tale. It's pretty similar, no?

I gave up on The Americans. I just don't care about the characters anymore.

Counterpoint: this final season is drop dead amazing. I love what a good show can do when they don't have to hold anything back for future seasons.

yeah, I just don't care about Phillip, Elizabeth, or Paige anymore. Makes it tough to enjoy the show.

Finished up Ash vs. Evil Dead. Really sad to see it go, as it was one of the shows I looked forward to most every year. A genuine delight every season, every episode. But it went out with a bang.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I have them stacked up waiting to binge on my DVR. Was bummed to see Starz cancel it. Bruce Campbell said he is done playing Ash. We'll see if that holds true. But yeah, for the near term, looks like Evil Dead goes back into the mists of myth and legend.

Forged in Fire: Knife or Death should be renamed.
After watching the third episode, from this day henceforth, it should be called Forged in Fire: Knife or Your big fancy, dopey knives can't cut through fish.

so, some thoughts on shows I have been watching or are currently watching...
FRIENDS. Yep, Mrs Tiste and I have watched all 10 seasons over the past few months since it came on Netflix. It was surprisingly funny! Sure, some of the attitudes are a bit old and the jokes feel a bit stale as a result e.g. the following or a variant thereof in more or less every episode:
CHANDLER *something not typically masculine*
ONE OF THE OTHERS MOST LIKELY A GELLER Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise you were actually A GIRL!
THE AUDIENCE *howls of laughter*
And yes, Ross is possibly one of the worst characters on TV (ugh, no-one is allowed to even look at Rachel but I'm OK to live how I want!) but it's pretty heartwarming and funny overall. Great for simple laughs really.
THE ALIENIST. We started watching this and are immediately hooked. What a great, tense show it is! Dakota Fanning is superb in this.
PARKS AND RECREATION. Started re-watching this as it is one of our all time favourite shows. Great cast, great comedy, all round brilliance.
THE JOEL MCHALE SHOW WITH JOEL MCHALE. I don't really know what to think of this. The clips he shows are pretty funny and I like him as a sort of carried over loyalty from Community but in reality this show has very little substance to it and I found myself getting a bit annoyed with the whole "Show clip, make sarcastic comment, audience laughs way too hard" format. I dunno, it has very little sticking appeal.
FUTURAMA. There are a couple of shows that I will watch regularly just because I love them so much and I never get tired of them. Futurama is one, Scrubs is the other. That's about it. I just love them. Futurama remains one of my favourite shows in any genre ever.
THE EXPANSE. I saw one episode of this and it is weird. I have not read the books so have no knowledge of the plot, characters or anything else. It seems a bit naff with painful dialogue and nothing to really keep me hooked. Should I stick with it after S1E1 or should I give it up and watch something else? Not feeling massively inclined to keep watching but if enough people rave about it I might give it another go.

Cobra Kai
It's getting better reviews/receptions then you'd think. I mean, you booger eaters will eat up crap like Rosanne and reality television and reboots of One Shitty Life to Live, and Will and Disgrace, and Full House (of shit), and blah blah blah, but you'll hate on this? Fuck off down the road with that 'tude and maybe give it a try, ya think?
Anyway, first two episodes are free.

I don't know much about The Expanse, but I will rave about The Joel McHale show, one of the few joys left in this godforsaken hellscape. It's no surprise to me that the world grew darker and more cynical, that Trump saw his rise, just as The Soup ended.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
