Y'all ready for Netflix's next true crime sensation?

Thank gods this is a mockumentary....I spent half of that trailer going "Why the fuck would they make a documentary about this shit?" before realizing its was all tongue-in-cheek.

I will totally watch it though.

So the producers of the forthcoming Judge Dredd tv series MEGA CITY ONE, are now seeing if Karl Urban might reprise his role....and apparently HBO, Amazon, and Netflix are all interested in producing it...

Can you imagine a Judge Dredd show, at HBO or Netflix...with Karl Urban reprising Dredd....done by the people who run 2000AD and know the character so well?

It sounds like fucking heaven.

Did a Elementary season 5 watch through last week. I'll get back into True Blood this week so I can comment on the show.

Finished Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later. Don't think it was as funny as the movie or the first series -- there seemed like fewer jokes in general tbh -- but still delightful. *Spoiler* Chris Pine is back and still greeeeaaat on this show. Lots of good gags, including more with Showalter's Reagan. There wasn't enough interaction w campers, which was probably the biggest flaw.

Yeah,I watched it too. I agree with all you said. Some of it felt less funny and more "trying too hard". But overall I enjoyed it.

Essentially yah, but technically both series are their own separate things on Netflix.

Oh man, the double length first episode of the new DUCKTALES reboot (episode titled WOO-OO) was actually BETTER than I expected. Funnier throughout that I could have ever asked for. The animation is GORGEOUS. The structure still follows the old school DUCKTALES vibe of "Indiana Jones type adventures" which is part of why I always loved it. The voice acting is top bloody notch, David Tennant is obviously brilliant as Scrooge, Danny Pudi (Huey), Ben Scwartz (Dewey), and Bobby Moynihan (Louie) are all fantastic with often brilliant comic timing (which makes sense considering their backgrounds), and Kate Micucci (who I didn't care for on BBT) is REALLY great as Webby! Lastly, they chose Beck Bennet to play Launchpad...\I assume because Terry McGovern is now 75 and probably retired...and he actually does a REALY good job as well. I've not seen enough of Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley to make up my mind as she's VERY different from the original voice...but she seems like she'll add a gravitas to the role that it never contained before..which should be for the good.

Anyways, it's amazing. As charming as the original and a whole bunch funnier!

And you can watch the whole thing for Free right now as Disney XD really wants the word out about it!

Sorry guys. I didn't realize that it was America only when I posted it.

If it helps, it's on iTunes for $2...and is well worth that.

It was more that glowing recommendation you gave it than the actual lack of access.

I don't think I've ever used iTunes for anything else than downloading movie trailers in the mid 2000s. I think I'll wait for it to show up on Netflix or something.

Band of Brothers caught my eye so I m watching ep 1 now. Doubt I ll commit to it yet but I def plan on rewatching it and The Pacific.

Gods I love both those shows. BoB is obviously better than THE PACIFIC....but damned if they aren't fantastic shows!

Agree it was better. I'm actually looking foward to when I do watch them again back to back. Watching ep 1 now and I still hate Lt./Cpt. Sobelle. What a shit.

Yeah, CURRAHEE really makes you HATE Sobel!

The last ep of BoB where they are playing baseball and the list of the fallen is read...it still reduces me to a puddle of tears.

My grandfather (who fought in WWII) would have loved it...and I'm sad he died so long before it was made.

I don't know if HBO Now/Go have it, but BoB's home release had a full bonus episode that was just the extended interviews w/ the real guys and it's so good (there's some overlap w/ content from the episodes, but it's mostly stuff that isn't in them). I wasn't that big a fan of The Pacific, tbh, but maybe I should give it another shot some time.

Speaking of HBO though, after 8 episodes I have abandoned Westworld. I seriously hate it and rank it as one of the worst shows I have ever seen. I might go back to it to watch the last two eps out of morbid curiosity, but I'm kinda mad that anyone saw these scripts and thought it was a good idea to continue production. I curse them all.

I've moved on to Iron Fist, and three episodes in it's kinda boring, but I don't hate it. I actually like all the characters, I find the plotting fine so far (if it goes deeper into corporate intrigue stuff though I'll probably start snoozing), and I have no problem with Finn Jones in particular either. I just think the writing is really clunky, and not just the dialogue (SPOILER: for instance, Danny acts like a cagey weirdo constantly for the first few episodes, including in the asylum, but when it comes to his lawyer he's like immediately "Here are some specific details that should prove I am who I say I am"). Anyway, even a mediocre Marvel show is a breath of fresh air after Ww.

I'm not sure how to word this. It's not a compilation. There's the clips of interviews they used to bookend episodes. And there's a bonus "episode 11" that is just those interviews with the real guys, from the same sessions. Some of the interview moments used for episodes are still in the bonus ep, but it's mostly interview footage that wasn't used on the rest of the show.

Also, I don't know if anyone else knows, but Spielberg and Hanks are making a third HBO WWII show to go along with BAND OF BROTHERS and THE PACIFIC called THE MIGHTY EIGHTH.

Which is fantastic news!
