Is that the prequel to The 100?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

For those of you who can receive the BBC 2 channel:

Boxing day, 9:30pm UK time - The entire universe
Thursday Dec 29th, 9pm UK time - Charlie Brooker's 2016 wipe.

You can thank me later.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Can't wait for 2016 Wipe. He's already admitted he's struggling to trim what needs to be an hour long show below 90 minutes.

At ep2 of the OA. So far so good, I will definitely watch the whole of this. Indeed a bit like Stranger Things, but different, much less 80ties nostalgia.

Watching ep 1 of Versailles on Netflix. Louis 14 is Aelthstan from Vikings. Every guy has flowing hair and is caked with rouge. Seems sexy and violent so far so that's cool.

Hmm interesting. Starting ep 3. I ve enjoyed this so far. Reminds me of The Tudors mixed with Reign. QT I think you may enjoy this. The intro song is M83 if I'm not mistaken. Sounds like it anyway.

Hot damn Versailles is great! I'm on ep 5 now. Has no one else watched this? If not and nudity, sex, bi-gay male doesn't bother you then turn on Netflix and hit play on this show asap. I still think QT would really dig this. Ando & Gab possibly as well.

And I've finished ep 10. Now that was a DAMN good show! I'm wondering if he left Vikings cause he got a lead in this brilliant French court show or if he got it afterwards? Says it was 2015. S2 is a go and it indeed is M83 on intro.

After try out Versailles. Speaking of that S3 is already a go and S2 hasn't even started yet.

Agreed re VERSAILES. I usually dislike France set period pieces but this very much held my attention. Beautifully shot too, a pleasure to watch.

Just finished season one of OUTCAST, based on a comic by Kirkman the walking dead dude. Demonic possession, small town, big problems. Nicely creepy. The season was maybe two eps longer than it needed to be, but it was awesome, dark as fuck, genuinely suspenseful at times, managed to not be predictable more often than not, and had a hell of an ending. Will look fwd to S2.

Watched Crazyhead on Netflix (originally a BBC 4 show I think). It's a demon-hunting urban fantasy w/ comic elements (definitely a disciple of Buffy and the Pegg/Frost/Wright shows/movies). It doesn't reinvent the wheel and it's not as good as its inspirations by a long shot, but still a rather fun show. And only 6 episodes, so quick to boot. The baddie is played by that sharp nosed Scottish dude who always plays Irish guys, like he was the main Irish mobster in Daredevil S2. He's pretty great.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Just got done with ep 1 of The OA. Goodness.....that was great! Hope the rest of season can maintain that atmosphere. You maybe tempted to turn it off for the 1st 35-40 mins but don't! I was just enthralled by that last 25 mins

Ep 2 was good as well. This has a slight Stranger Things/Stephen King feel to it.

Ep 3. Good

Ep 4 good.

Eps 5&6 good

Ep 7 good

Ep 8 good but wonders and is rather silly only in the last few mins. Good series. Hope for a S2

I just binged this too. Man, that was damn near close to fantastic. Stellar writing, acting, and notions. I loved it throuought!

It's weird how on the aSoIaF forum Versailles has been almost universally panned whereas here it's getting a love-in.

I mean, I wasn't going to watch it either way, far too much good telly on to watch it all these days and I'm already behind on things far higher on my interest list, but it made me laugh.

I don't see why they would. It's a sexy courtly blast for 10 epi. Plus you can tell that the actors actually had fun making this. They put pezaz in their roles esp Blagden as Louis 14. In still wondering if he left Vikings for this or his departure was already planned in advance by Hurst resulting in good timing to get this role.

It has its shortcomings. I could see fans of GRRM's faux medieval society being unable to accept the setting depicted in VERSAILLES. It's also a narrow set. The show rarely leaves the house. B)

The basic, most common criticism, is that it's basically like Tudors but dumb. And I've never understood Tudors to be a high-intellect show.

Like I say, this is all second hand. None of them are the kind of show I usually watch.

Just watched another of the scandanavian crime series, but have to say it was quite disappointing. It's called MODUS and it's a about a former police profiler being dragged back to the job after her daughter witnesses a murder.

I found it really disappointing, since it was like they pieced the show together from a checklist of storylines and characters from other scandi-noir crime shows. An additional bugbear were the terrible american accents from a couple of the characters. Really cringeworthy stuff.

A real let-down while i wait for the final season of The Bridge.
