Watched the first two eps of BBC's TRUE LOVE which is the quasi-reunification of David Tennant and Billie Piper...but other than their stories not interweaving (AKA they are no on screen together), the show is also pretty much about cheating on your significant other, or risque relationships...and both myself and Mrs. QT were like "What the hell? This show is NOT good."

Sad, cause we were looking forward to seeing if it was any good. I think we just want David Tennant back as the Doctor. Hopefully for the 50th.

But that show would never get made. Well, not in America anyway. It would sort of be at odds with their whole national mania about "Gawd-ah". Greenlighting that show would be career suicide.

Eh?

You say this when a show that has all these aspects in documentary form (the aforementioned ANCIENT ALIENS), is the flagship show on HISTORY NETWORK and has a fairly large fanbase, 4 seasons under its belt and a 5th on the way...I don't see how a fictional show about this premise wouldn't fly...when a docu-show about it does so well.

What you say maketh no sense.

If we don't give Gothos any hassle over living in Poland or others for living in Serbia, Canada, the UK, the US, Australia and more, we won't give you any hassle.

However, a ton of the British people seem to think the Welsh deserve every bit of stick they get for whatever reasons.

Oh, don't worry about sharing your location any more than that. Many members have done so. Abyss has let us know he lives somewhere in Canada and no further.

And I watched a beastly Masterpiece Theater with Rufus Sewell about an Italian cop named Zen Aurelio. Very good acting from all cast members, complicated murder mysteries and romantic attraction sub-plots with a magnificently attractive woman. Zen: Ratking is what it was called.

Sounds good. Netflix only has it on disc (apparently three episodes total) but I'm adding it.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

That was a fine little mini-series called ZEN. Sadly there were only 3 episodes made, and it hasn't yet been renewed (though the producers are still holding out hope of getting some other backers). You say you watched the episode, RATKING, which is actually the 3rd of the three episodes made. The first two episodes were probably better overall (as they didn't have to put up with Callum Blue's poor acting - he was the snotty son-in-law in that 3rd episode)

I found the score to be occasionally off-putting the way it launched into action whenever Zen was on the move, but i guess that was down to the unique style of the show. Rufus Sewell was perfectly cast as the rather enigmatic detective, Aurelio Zen, But I have to say that i could listen (and watch) the lead actress, Caterina Murino, read out the telephone directory. Incredibly sexy.

It's a pity there haven't been more episodes made. Yuo should definitely try and catch the first 2 episodes.

Another in the steady line of British crime dramas.

If you think about it, if Australians are descended from criminals who were convicted and shipped off, then the English are descended from the criminals who all got away with their crimes.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

It's true.

I worked for six years as Mr Bigglesworth's stunt double.

It was a dark, shameful period in my life. Note Mike Myers trying to strangle me in that pic.

started watching Downton Abbey while using the treadmill, 1 hr never went by so fast each session, on Season 2 and awaiting the Christmas special to arrive. Absolutely addictive. Also have HBO so started watching second season of Stike Back, several Game of Thrones actors in various episodes, almost didn't recognize them out of their Game costumes.

heh... season 2 for you is season 1 for me. we never got the first series here and went straight to the 'second' which was marketed as the first on HBO.
I don't recall any GoT people... will obviously have to watch it again. Darn.

ON a similar note, was watching BATMAN BEGINS the other day and just realised that the little boy in "The Narrows" that sees Batman early on in the movie, and later gets rescued with the Rachel Dawes character, is played by none other than JACK GLEESON, everyone's favourite douchebag child king in Game of Thrones.

As for Strike Back, was it actually any good?

UK S2/HBO S1 is brilliant. Each ep is like a 1hr Bruckheimer action flic.

I'm told UK S1 isn't as impressive, but i haven't seen it yet.

Indeed, easily my second fave show (after DOCTOR WHO), DOWNTON is like a drug. I've already re-watched Series 1 and 2 twice through while I jones for Series 3 to start.

Oh, and the Christmas Special...SO much awesome. SO much.

I just got to the end of the waitlist at the library for season 2. It's been months. We stated at number 850 I think. Popular show.

And yes, I am aware that I could have stolen it for free off the internet.

Mr bigglesworth is bald and that ain't Mike Myers.

Ps- downton abbey was, in fact, amazazing.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.
