SEAQUEST Seasons 1 and 2 were just okay...but Season 3 (retitled SEAQUEST 2032) where they added Michael Ironside as Captain (after Roy Schieder's Cpt. Bridger bit the dust) and the Seaquest itself resurfaced after being missing for ten years (which the crew experienced instantaneously) and the future world was corrupt, aliens were involved in the politics, and the world had gone pretty much nuts and was pretty much at war...it was AWESOME. It was too far fetched for a lot of people which was why nit was cancelled, but it was AWESOME!
Hell, that was the season when Lucas invented a single-person underwater fighter craft called a Stinger that had a mechanically constructed shark tail and could go through the water like stink!
It went from being a show about a gov't / military run underwater exploration craft...to being one about one of the last bastions of humanity in a world gone to war against itself.
It went away before its time.

I think I missed the first two seasons and tuned in only for Season 3. It was actually pretty good, despite the talking dolphin (Darwin? Einstein?).
Know what show was super ahead of its time and should come back? Round The Twist.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

'We are done, my friend. Now, in this manner, we choose the meaning of our deaths' - Mortal Sword Brukhalian to Veteran Nilbanas, siege of Capustan

A great, though short, article on what happened to Harris from Freaks & Geeks/Dudley from The Royal Tenenbaums. Recommended reading for all geeks: http://www2.macleans...d-by-hollywood/
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Working through the DVR backlog of TOUCH. Interesting but a bit repetitive.
And of course it's time for my guiltiest of guilty pleasures, HELL'S KITCHEN.

You Scream
We all Scream

Been watching Season 2 of History TV's ANCIENT ALIENS....while utterly ridiculously cheesy, and it's "experts" are less than reputable...but hell they always seem to investigate interesting places and occurrences to make it very watchable. Like last night I watched an ep about the Nazi's obsession with the occult and science and found out another theory about the famous "Bell" experiment, and found out that NASA's space explorations in the 1960's were the result of German scientists from the war's expertise on propulsion and the like.
Like I said, ALWAYS interesting...if unbelievably cheesy.

I always catch myself watching that when I'm flipping through the channels. Cheesy as hell, but by god it's entertaining. Then it seems like I snap out of a trance and think, did I just watch that for an hour?
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Yep, that's about how it happens to me, except I always throw on another episode after thinking that. LOL

Sorry, but did you really not know this? Thought it was common knowledge. Werner Von Braun and all that?
On a vaguely related note, check out Werner's proposal for the manned mission to Mars. Fascinating stuff.
meh. Link was dead :(
