Please write me down as mod for another Rome game, a straight up 4-way cult game, 2nd Triumvirate Period.

So I think the entire forum is still recovering from Spycraft 2 because we've had a few games, none of them very long. I know alt doesn't want to put forward Mistborn until he's sure it won't tank, so either we need to just offer a rolling signup and wait until we have enough to run Mistborn, or we have to have a quality game that is going to get some people playing again regularly.

Now might not be a bad time for people to try out different mechanics in a smaller/quicker setting.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

i'ma be MIA untill Mid August. then I have my orientation in Detroit, and starting classes, 2 times a week.

Meaning, I'll have a lot of free time for Mafia, at least until September rolls around, and I get the full brunt of coursework.

I should be able to run 40k in that time period, provided we scrounge u enough players.

untill then, i'm out.... working every day and my schedule's far from great.

I've just been made aware that MTS (and therefore no doubt others) have never experienced a FM before. What is this blasphemy??!?!!? That, if I recall correctly, was one of the parts of the Culture game that made people go insane, lol.

Then we've got Jesters, Cults/Mercs, so on and so forth. Someone needs to set up a game with these things. D:

The last game with a FM was, I think, Mafia 31, so small wonder :)

I'm very sure there have been FMs since then. I distinctly remember being taken over by an FM and it wasn't in or before Mafia 31. Ment's Vampire game? I'm sure there have been others.

I could moderate a Team Fortress 2 "spiritual successor." For those that missed the first one I ran, I thought it was pretty good for a mini... 20-30 pages, tons and tons of spam. And despite overwhelming odds, HD managed to outwit everyone and win.

I already have a lot of banked ideas based upon the last one, so it's not like it's completely from scratch, and I could even run two variants of the game, depending on how many players we get:

15 players - A two team scrum based upon the "Pros vs Pubbers" (6 "Pros" take on 9 "random" players, each playing one of the 9 classes).

Less than 15 - Possibly capture the flag or another deathmatch-style game.

Just looking for SOMETHING to add some excitement to the board...

A pre-requisite for this game is that everyone must play at least the first night drunk! That was best part of the first one. And you should have had it over the BBQ weekend again, admin shennaginas were hilarious.

I've never been in a Faceless Man game in the ?1.5 years? I've been playing. But, I've set out quite a few. Didn't Big Ben's Revenge have a FM aspect to it?

Edit: My drunk Mafia skills are better than yours. :)

If only because I can type like I'm sober and therefore RP as a sober person.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I used to play drunk all the time when I was in varsity without anyone noticing. Sadly the halicon days of drinking until 2am on a weeknight have long passed :)

Alright, guess I'll get the signups started and I'll draft up the opener by the end of the day. We'll start Monday unless we're REALLY low on sign-ups.

last proper FM game has indeed been the vamp game run by me. it had paired FMs, no less.

that game has been upgraded with lover jesters and re-balanced as the 40k game, since J_slr is taking for -freaking ever to run his 40k game.

as mafia-related update on my life: I'm no longer planing to go to Detroit and start school mid-august. now i'm moving out West to the next province, school will start in September, I should have adequate time to run a the 40k game then and make it good.

sadly, this means i'll be missing out on Chicago meet-up....

either that, or at least a plane ticket from Winnipeg to Chicago. your choice.

well, the 60 grand is not going to happen, the gigolo niche of skinny guys offering to sleep with rich, beautiful women for shitloads of money is a bit of a buyers market at the moment - ask Brynjar if you don't take me up on my word.

I actually checked the plane tickets, and damn, that's quite pricey :p

Don't worry Tapper. We won't hurt you.

You're too perty to hurt.
