Ment, I think maybe you should make a call for everyone on the list to post how far along their respective game ideas are and when they feel they will be comfortable running them. I see Maccy (who hasnt been able to play since he started working) is up soon, as is Lish (apparently not ready) and Stalker (who has been MIA for a while); but I doubt any of those games will be run soon. It might be neccessary to shake the list up a little and remind people they've offered to run games.

Most of the games on the list are also reasonably high TMDI, of which there's been quite a few of late. Maybe we should get a list of people who are willing to whip up a M&P game (or mini) with a week or two's notice for in between the complicated games.

After PB's game this weekend I'd like to put forward the concept of the 'Drunken Mini' that was discussed during the course of the game. Less than 10 players that know they will have a fair amount of free time, must be played over a weekend and finish early in the week. Balance and alts optional, beer recommended.

In response to my own call, you can unshelf my cult mini, although I think it will be better to run it after we've had a bit of a break from faction/cult games. I will be co-modding Hooiser's Mistborn game, so if you could please put my name in there, as well as PB and Obdi who are currently help us set up the game. The game still needs a lot of work, so it's fine where it is near the end of the list.

The drunken mini works really well when you have just under a week between games. ie 48 ended on thursday last week or so, highlander starts wednesday, so we did the drunken mini for 3 days in between, whereas a regular mini probably wouldn't have fit into that narrow time slot.

Is there any way I can ask for a set start time for Twilight? August 31 (a monday) would be a really good time for it for me if there's enough people around to play it at that time.

As far as spur-of-the-moment minis, I've got very little work to do this morning so I'm gonna rig up a simple Hu Lao Gate mini that could be used anytime.

I was interested in making a quick town vs. scum (not necessarily M&P since I love wacky mechanics D:) mini...need to decide on a theme and such but it should be quick and bloody.

Probably gotta figure out something that can scale well, and a good theme to accompany it.

Bent here, throw me on the list for a mini 10 to 15 players. TMDI 10, just because there is no town scum, merc or cults, There will be one lynch per day. Night kills will be based on alt guessing, if you guess correctly, you kill that player and gain a one shot BP. Each alt guess adds a kill and a BP, game ends when there are 2 or less players remaining, and the highest number of BP's and kills gets the win.

I.e X and Y make it to the end, by lynching Z. However X only guesses one alt correctly, and Y only guessed 2 alts correctly. Z guessed 3 correctly therefore wins. You only get one guess per night. If there are no correct alt guesses in a night, then the lowest living poster will be killed by default. This should keep the low posters from winning by not posting or giving info.

So, who's up next?

Going by the full-mini rule, it's kind of Obdi's finders game, or another person with a mini that they want to squeeze in, if Obdi's fine with that.

Don't get killed night 1 next game, then! ;) (I didn't vote you. But seeing as how you smoked me in Lamora game, I don't really care! :))

I agree, shouldn't Dresden be up soon? *drooling

Didn't even make it to night one. :)

Not my fault the stupid lynch SOMEHOW turned onto me. I mean, wtf? I still don't know how that happened, and would like an explanation! ;)

Besides, you should be more careful who you're being indifferent to. I've recently learned I am supposed to be one of the best killers on Malaz! O.o

You are a sneaky sneaky killer. The worst of the worst. I like my killer's blatant and with signs pointing at their heads saying, "I'm a killer." Lol, I have no idea why the lynch turned to you, but I was a candidate, so you can't fault me for being somewhat happy with it, can you?

WHERE O WHERE IS THE NEW MAFIA GAME? O WHERE O WHERE CAN IT BE?

I'd be happy to run a mini, but only if you were all happy not having scenes. I'm crap at that stuff (on the bright side, it'd mean I can knock it up at very short notice). And I don't want to jump the queue, of course.

It'd be cf-less M&P.
"pseudoscience and superstition will seem year by year more tempting, the siren song of unreason more sonorous and attractive. Where have we heard it before? Whenever our ethnic or national prejudices are aroused, in times of scarcity, during challenges to national self-esteem or nerve, when we agonize about our diminished cosmic place and purpose, or when fanaticism is bubbling up around us – then, habits of thought familiar from ages past reach for the controls. The candle flame gutters. Its little pool of light trembles. Darkness gathers. The demons begin to stir." - Carl Sagan

My Mini is super fast and only has 5 players. I dare say it could be accomplished at the same time as a LOW TMDI (screw your meat and potatoes) game, as we have enough people.

Also, I have the keys to the game dev forum for my DRESDEN game. I need One (1) co-mod, preferrably from across the world from CST (-6GMT) to go over this stuff with me. Who is it going to be, hmmmm?

This of course means you cannot play in the dresden game.

I, being unfamiliar with the Dresden series, will help co-mod since it doesn't hold as much appeal to me as it would to others.
I'm GMT-5 (EST).

That and I need to learn how to mod better. :p

Mafia 50, come on down!

Also, I and collaborators (Shin + soon to be decided veteran balancer) and (Obdi, PB, and Alt146's Mistborn game) will still require quite a bit of balancing and whatnot, so throw those on down the line until one of these people, inevitably less drunk than me, says otherwise.

Mafia 49: Alan Campbell's Cohl's Shades theme <> Lisheo (GMT) and Morgoth (GMT+2)
Mafia X: Illiad-themed game <> Stalker (GMT-5), co-mods needed
Mafia X: Generic mafia theme, Macros-style set-up <> Macros (GMT evenings), Bent (GMT-5) <> TMDI <5,
Mafia X: Dresden files themed <> Obdigore <> TMDI 10+
Mafia X: Lord of the Rings themed game <> Great Lord D (GMT), looking for American and Aus/NZ co-mods <> (asked to be moved to the next fall season)

Is Lish available? If so he's up next. Otherwise...I haven't seen Stalker or Macros, I doubt Obdi wants to mod 2 consecutive games, and Great Lord D hasn't been around either.

It's Mafia 50 after the 49.5 mini, no matter what the tabled schedule was meant to signify. Odds are we are going to get a random M and P game. Fine with me.

Happy to help with balancing/ reviewing & available for co-moddage.

I've been trying to work on an Illiad inspired game, and was to be Stalker's original co-mod. However, even the basic outline is far from finished so far, let alone tweaked or checked with Stalker. Please put that one back on hold for a while...

Tapper, you'd be the third time-zone triumvirate in Shin and I's game, if you wanted in. He'd be Asia, I'd be NA,and you'd be Europe. The game will require a skilled hand at balancing like yours to help us noobs out. If you want, PM Shin, or I will, so he can send you the info he already has for the game. Your experience would be appreciated I"m sure.
