Mafia 59: Alliance-based merc game Sir Thursday (GMT) and Tapper (CET) TMDI 7 16 or 20 players required. <- I'm going to PM ST

Mafia 60: The Night Watch (Lukyanenko) General King (GMT) and Mentalist (GMT-5), sort of like the first heroes game, TMDI9 <- And GK/Ment.

Mafia X: Mistborn HoosierDaddy (GMT-6), PB, Obdigore (GMT-6), alt146(GMT+2) TMDI 9 20-20+ people <- If neither of them are available, or we can't find a co-mod for ST's game, Mistborn is up

Mafia X: '80s Horror Merc Morgoth(GMT+2) TMDI 10, 20 people
Mafia X: King Arthur Merc mini Bwgan(GMT) 16 players, TMDI 6-8 <- As Bwgan is missing, moved the King Arthur game to an X spot.
Mafia X: Supernatural Impirion low TMDI <- Same with Impirion.

Now, with regard to the other Mafia-X's, I think we need to consider the following: The order the games have come in means we have heaps of TMDI 7+ games lined up, and we'll need some mini, or at least simpler games to intersperse. The other thing is that we've got so many games now, as we can see with Impirion and Bwgan the chances of players having something come up or lose interest is quite high. Then again, most of the mods listed are our regulars, so maybe that doesn't matter.

We've also got a poultice of Rot3k minis available, but that's another matter altogether. Basically, the list needs some organising, a bit.

Also, I'm going to put up a couple of my own games, which will be low-mid TMDI, as in they're fairly simple but will have several scum factions and/or some mechanic variations:-
Mafia X: Silence of the Lambs Silencer (GMT + 13) TMDI 4/5
Mafia X: The Devil's Advocate Silencer (GMT +13) TMDI 2/3

Which gives us a little bit more variation in TMDI level and theme (rather than 5 Rot3K minis!)

So, there we go then. Right?

The Rot3K minis can be run anytime, so they can be used to break up some clumps of TMDI 7+ games. Also, they don't all need to be played, they're just little side-stories. Posted Image

The thing about mini's is that they don't really need much planning, they can usually be thrown together in the space of an afternoon or so. Unless you have a specific theme (ala D'rek's Rot3K games) there isn't too much need to book them in advance. Maybe we should have a list of people that are willing to mod mini's and have them rotate through between big games?

Minis are all well and good - but we also needed some simpler, but still full-size games, and those do need to be booked...kind of.

The other thinking there is that a simpler game can substitute in for a mini if we have enough people, and that makes for some more variety in our schedule. :band:

I've yet to hear back from ST and GK - Ment's replied and he says he needs GK. It's still the weekend in most parts of the world, though, so I think we give 'em another day or so before dropping down to the Mistborn game?

Low TMDI and mini tend to be synonomous round here, but I get your point. It shouldnt be a problem though to have a list of people who are willing to throw together a low TMDI game when there turn comes up. Knowing you will be required to run a game gives you a little bit of incentive to think of a theme and basic role distribution. Most of us are capable of running a low TMDI game, but don't think to book one, since there isnt much thinking (or hyping :p) to be done.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with holding a week or two if the interest isn't there. Part of the problem may be that we play SO much that people are oversaturated with Mafia. If we don't have the peeps, and we don't play for a week or two, that will probably drum interest back up.

I don't think there is a lack of interest, we just don't have the numbers we normally do as people are busy with real life. Now, we could wait for that to clear up, but there is no guarantee that other people won't get their own commitments to deal with.

In this case, anyway, the problem is more lack of mods - though we have two lined up, we just don't want to skip a booked game out in favour of another if the mod is available to host it. The decision to run is then up to the mod - if there aren't the sign-ups, they won't run it. :band:

And minis are traditional for those of the membership who aren't in need of a break after a large game. They are meant to be run with less people, but even so they still require a good 10 or so players. If there aren't enough people, then we probably wouldn't run it with less than required. The performance in Shin's game was mostly the fact that people weren't posting a lot...and everyone has their reasons for that. Though I should NEVER be that close to the top of the post count list, unless it's Mafia 17....

I can run the 80s horror game from next monday if we're in a pinch. I will need .. hmm.. 19 players I guess, I could cut it down to 16 players though it's not ideal.

'S OK guys, don't panic. Ment and GK have a game that will open sign ups very soon, unless ST gets back to me before Ment wakens. :band:

I really have no idea but I sense the Night Watch came is going to be over by Friday or next Monday, it appears. The next few games listed are:

Mafia 59: Alliance-based merc game Sir Thursday (GMT) and Tapper (CET) TMDI 7 16 or 20 players required. <- I'm going to PM ST
Mafia 60: The Night Watch (Lukyanenko) General King (GMT) and Mentalist (GMT-5), sort of like the first heroes game, TMDI9 <- And GK/Ment.
Mafia X: Mistborn HoosierDaddy (GMT-6), PB, Obdigore (GMT-6), alt146(GMT+2) TMDI 9 20-20+ people <- If neither of them are available, or we can't find a co-mod for ST's game, Mistborn is up
Mafia X: '80s Horror Merc Morgoth(GMT+2) TMDI 10, 20 people
Mafia X: Warhammer 40k Mentalist(EST)and Tapper (CMT) TMDI 8 town vs multiple types of scum
Mafia X: Starcraft morgoth45(non-EST co-mod needed) 3-way merc with a cult TMDI 8+ 15+ players
Mafia X: Battle Royale (the movie) <> Shinrei, Tapper, HD <> TMDI 8 <> 18 players

I'm fine with going into a TMDI 7 or so next, and I think others will be too, but this long stream of high-tmdis probably needs to be broken up a little bit with some minis. I'd like to move up one of my planned minis into the mix here somewhere, anyone else wanna move in a low-tmdi or mini to break up the horde of high tmdis?

Also, ST and Tapper - Alliance ready to go after NW?

If it's not, I know alt's Mistborn game is ready. I'm pretty sure he just wants to have enough people.

The 80s horror game, though technically TMDI 10, follows the trend of all my high rated games in that the foundations are pretty standard mafia rules, but they've been mixed around quite a bit. Meaning there's no new mechanics as such, but there are old mechanics used in new ways.

I'd prefer to not have to mod until after Spycraft 2. There's plenty to prepare for that game, and I'm both busy at work and in personal life. I think I want to run the game late april, early may.

Regarding player numbers, I'm willing to see how many I can attract with spycraft 2, maybe a few of those will stick :D
