Zomg, just discovered Captain Blood is to be found in all it's glory on Youtube. It's in twelve parts.

I now know what I'm going to be doing later tonight. But first I'm watching Sex and the City the movie with some chicks... because I'm worth it

This must be part of some strange strategy whereby at the end of it you sex.

Because the alternatives are... well...

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

The Three Musketeers from 1973 has very good swordfights, more like streetbrawls in some cases (think I remember one on ice).

Annoying little puppet.
And all the "awesome" fights just look fake, especially the green midget bouncing around the place.

I hated that fight because it basically made Mace Windu an "also-ran". You get to see Mace fight Jango, think very cool . . . then it get overshadowed by a muppet gone CGI. No the only thing left for poor Mace to do is jump out a window.

I realize anime isn't really the point, but the fight in the collapsing building in ADVENT CHILDREN really is quite awesome.

Surprisingly, i was reminded this past weekend that Tom Cruise has a totally decent sword fight scene at the end of LEGEND.

Ultimately, i think i'd go with the Flynn/Rathbone one ref'd above. KILL BILL pt 1 v Lucy Liu was awesome, but there's an olde skool element to Flynn i have to put first.

- Abyss, almost decapitated himself with a sabre once...
