Which ones? Night of Knives is out in the US, and Blood Follows and The Healthy Dead have both been published in the US by Nightshade Books. No news on The Lees of Laughter's End yet though...

The US edition of Toll the Hounds should be out earlier than September 16th.

My reasoning?

Tor has just set up an online signing between Steven and Todd Lockwood for fans who order signed/personalized/remarqued copies of Toll the Hounds via The Signed Page. The date for the signing is September 3rd, as Steven is doing a mini-tour from Victoria BC to Seattle WA to Portland OR.

That means the books have to be ready by then and be released. Otherwise there would be no point for the tour.

So that's earlier than what Amazon says, although not by much. ;)

I have a question for veteran amazon buyers:

I ordered tth with priority express mail ( expensive) but I am leaving my house onjuly 5th for a long time, and i will not be able to get the book untill august. Is there any chance i get the book before july 5, it said dispatch is june 30th, priority express is one to two business days, will it come?

AHHHH!

I wouldn't worry about it unless you live in a very, very remote place.
Personally, with the fastest delivery option I've gotten a book from amazon.us in 2 days to Finland.

Ok, i live in New York, so it shouldn't be a big deal. As long as it comes by the 4th...

I am quite scared though, the prospects of having to wait until August scares the shit out of me.

I would say iffy, but probably okay since it is going over seas. I've used it before, and I am in Calgary. It's never taken me less than 3 working days, but once it took 6.

Sometimes you can get screwed by customs.

Hope they ship it out early, or what not for extra time, and not get delayed in the warehouse.

Good luck, since I am pretty sure the post office won't hold a package from July till August, too.

I have purchased several of the books from amazon uk, so far they have been pretty good at getting them to you when they say they will.

You're screwed.

Or otherwise, you might want to be sure someone can pick it up for you. I don't know where you live, but chez moi after (i think) 30 days and three notices, back to the sender it goes.

Alternately, you could put a mail hold on your mail, so anything that arrives is held until you're back.

- Abyss, notes, as a final option, you anonymously threaten the pets of your local post office employees, and/or their families. ...what? ;)

Abyss,

Was it that threatening of pets that got you into jail and that prison style screwing?

I'll never shoot at the cats of the neighbours again. They can eat my fish and birds, not worth prison.
