Whatever happens it should be a good game.
Enjoyed the Russia/Sveden game last night. Best bit was when interviewer collared Laarson after the game and asked whether the defeat was due to "old players" and "old legs". The look on L's face as he said "NO!" was priceless

Germany seems to have caught fire. The flopping in this match is the only thing that has disgusted me. As usual.

Wow, a really boring game with an amazing finish. How the hell do Turkey keep doing this? They really looked like a poor side for most of the game and then suddenly turned it on for 90 seconds at the end and win. In terms of basic ball skills, I thought Croatia were streets ahead, and they really looked quite dangerous on the break in the first half. In contrast, the Turks seemed to have no idea how to break quickly - the ball movement would be slow and they always gave the Croatian back four time to set up and nullify anything they came up with.

Turkey picked it up in extra time, but I still thought Croatia looked better. But I think having come back from behind twice before gave the Turks the belief that they could do it again, and somehow the ball found its way into the net. Amazing.

I decided to forgive Turkey's strangely rubbish playing because of the tension and drama they delivered at the end. Hope they play better against Germany though.

Glad to see Rustu's still got something left in him of the world's best keeper =)

I think there must be a lot of relieved Germans tonight...

I think the commentator said that in the four games that Turkey have played, they have been in front (presumably not counting the penalties tonight) for a total of 2 minutes, or something ridiculous like that...

Actually most people here would have prefered Croatia.

There are 110,000 Turkish people living in Berlin alone. And there's enough trouble between some of them and some Germans already - can you imagine what'll go on with a soccer match to raise the blood? I'm afraid the peaceful fans will get drawn into the mess, and not only in Berlin.

I kinda meant it more in the fact that Germany should fairly easily beat Turkey, but lost to Croatia last time they played... Psychologically it is going to be easier on the Germans...

awesome comeback, I actually forgot about the game playing Tribes of the East homm5 expansion, but I turned on the TV in the 112th minute, and it was quite interesting!
also, it was rather obvious that Croatia would fail at the pens, getting a last second goal like that.

what are we thinking today guys and dolls? holland far to good for russia? the exciting games of hollands group are going to continue? russia with arshavin going to spring a suprise? me im going to go holland 3-1 as long as its better than last nights(not counting the last 2 mins!) im happy!!
