I think I started a competition I'm no good at...shit.

i've got no clue. But I will throw out another quote for the hell of it.

"Hey fuck ass get me a beer!"

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

People are not very good at picking "famous" quotes.

Picking obscure tidbits from your favorite independant movie might no be the best way to keep the thread alive and people interested.

Didn't need to google it, but most everything anyone comes up with is going to be pretty easy to look up ...

ok, I'll change my one - it was from Sexy Beast but it may be a bit obscure.

'Let's go to work.' Pronounce 'work' as 'woyk' just to get the feel of it.

@ Battalion - 6th Sense

I'll do a TV quote

Quote

: I do know my Bible, sir. "On the night of their betrothal, the wife shall open to the man as the furrow to the plow, and he shall work in her, in and again, till she bring him to his fall, and rest him then upon the sweat of her breast."

: Whoa. Good Bible.

@Binder of Demons: Firefly, the episode Our Mrs. Reynolds.

How about:

"You are quite transparent, _________. I can see right through you."

(which is funnier if you know that the person who is being spoken to is invisible at the time).

Nope. Think TV as opposed to movie.

Okay, I just checked, the quote I posted is slightly wrong. Here is the correct version:

A: You are most transparent, [name].
B: Oh, I get it. Good one.
A: I can see right through you.
B: Don't push it.

Make it any easier?

Was thinking it was Hallow Man, but you said TV...hmmm I'll think on it since I'm trying not to unleash my Google-Fu in this thread.

In the mean time here's something else to mull over.

"I don't know what's in there, but it's the only thing I've ever wanted."

If you're referring to mine...no. Try to remember to quote the quote you are answering.

That's not where mine was from either...

I thought people would get mine fairly quickly - I mean it's not a particularly obscure show...particularly with the hint about invisibility (although it was a pretty minor occurence). Ah well, I'll leave it for a few more days and then drop the answer on you.

It was in answer to Sir T's quote - Just because I remember Buffy having an invisible character or some such...

Oh, well. I'm awful at quote games. I don't pay close enough attention, or watch things repeatedly, or whatever it takes to master this facet of pop trivia.

@ Sir Thursday - Is that invisible quote from HEROES??

nope, nice try though. There never was enough humour in Heroes like that. On reflection, the clue that it is to do with invisibility is probably more than a little misleading - it only ever truly came up once on the show, and that was only for a short amount of time...
