Look on your right, rep power is the amount of rep you can give to someone else.

I can deal out 541 points. You can deal out around 70 after you make your 20th post.

GUST HUBB I SUMMON THEE!! An ancient thing has been uncovered!

Solve for me this mysterious rep power and why I have never heard of this thing.

This is probably a quote from the Rep Wars. There was a time when people could gain enough merit that they increased the amount of rep they were allowed to give at one time. This spawned the famous rep wars, where people conspired to boost each other's rep to epic proportions.

There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

Rep wars is something of a misnomer. War suggests that there was a time when two or more factions were fighting for rep. It was more like a rep circle jerk with people repping everyone and everything in hopes that others would then reciprocate. At one point you would see one person get positive rep and that person would then immediately rep the other one for no other reason than that they got rep. Which sort of devalued the rep system.

I of course was hoarding the wast majority of the rep at that time and of course didn't need to resort to such petty antics. No in my day a person posted endless amounts of pictures, gifs and book quotes to get his rep and that's the way we liked it. :smoke:

There was a hidden war once though, when the Phantom Negrepper was lose in the Phoenix Inn, but we do not speak of those dark days any more.
