Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I'm perplexed at including some of these as actioners... sure, the OT left it wide open, and some of them are movies that have action scenes, but TRUE ROMANCE? HEAT? THE PROFESSIONAL??? these are brilliant movies, but they have maybe two action scenes. FIGHT CLUB is a psychological thriller with periodic scenes of people doing the hitty kicky and some property damage.

To moi, when you're talking action movie, you're talking movie where the plot is a thinly veiled device to move the characters from kicky 'splody to stabby shooty and the setting is just to give the movie cool places for the shit to go down - see SHOOTEMUP, DIE HARD or EQUILIBRIUM. LoTR is a great series of movies, full blown cast of thousands war scenes, etc, ditto BRAVEHEART and GLORY, but that's not the same as RAMBO 3, which is basically 2 hours of Rambo killing people with sharp objects and guns.

If, on other hand, you're talking about action scenes, the list works.

- Abyss, posted this while typing with one hand and flying a jet fighter through the Grand Canyon with the other, trying to shoot down a cruise missile loaded with Ebola variant Q, while being pursued by subsonic flying monkeys armed with stinger missiles and Whitney Huston.

Agrees with Abyss about many of the chocies on this list. Therefore I add Nemisis. Best android/cyborg movie since Bladerunner. It has a guy with a canon in his skull ;)
