No, I said a striker. Preferably someone who can play football, too.

I fit the bill but I don't think I have the pace or skill to succeed in the premiership.

What Striker, do you think, would fit best into Tottenham's system?

Let's rephrase the question: Who could the spuds get that would fit into their system, is good enough to score plenty, is happy playing for a mid-table team and would prefer playing in Europe's B-team competition instead of the CL? :D :D

That said, I think Arsenal may be taking your place in the UEFA next season. North London is a grim place for footy atm, I watched the spurs game and thought they looked shite, then was MIGHTILY unimpressed when I saw that Arsenal were even worse. Eboue. Is. SHITE. Why will Wenger not learn?!?! We're in desperate need of a CM, and Gallas couldnt captain the Titanic to the bottom of the ocean. The players are just lazy and shit.

Plus Barnet lost AGAIN, and missed a penalty. Still, best result of the season so far with it being just the 1-0.;)

And Chavski and Liverpool both scraped results again. Tbh, no team has impressed in both games yet this season. The hope remains though that ManUre will continue to fail to win tonight. :D

So Senderos is off to Milan on a year loan.

I have problems with this.

Now, as you know, I dont like Senderos. Suggestions about strangling him have often been heard from me. However, at a time when we are desperately short of players, and Newcastle have already offered us cash for him, WHY THE FLYING HOLY CHEESE FUCK have we decided to give him to Milan for a year FOR FREE?!!!?????!??

Oh, Arsenal piss me right off sometimes. They even manage to make offloading the players I hate bad. Next thing I know we'll be getting rid of Eboue only to appoint him Emperor of the known Universe.

Looks like Pavlyochenko is on his way to the Lane "by thursday" :Rodeo: this is definitely good news, I liked the look of him at the euros, though ideally another striker too would be good.

Do you think Spurs will be more amenable to flogging Berbatov now they have the big Russian?

I think he's never worth £30m in a billion years, at most £25m, when you look at the money Man U paid for Rooney and what Chelsea (allegedly) have on the table for Robinho then you can't argue Berbatov is worth £30m.

They may as well let the miserable git go for £25m, although I agree with what Spurs are doing from a moral standpoint and if they want to let him fester on the sidelines then I have tremendous amount of respect for them, much like the Ronaldo saga this summer, however, I doubt they have the cash to do this, sO I reckon he'll be on his bike for £27m by the weekend.

In other news Vidic says that it rains too much in Manchester; well fuck me, call Sherlock Holmes and tell him that we don't need him anymore, the big Serbian has solved the mystery of the wet streets.

Arsenal have little chance of finishing in the top three unless something changes, unfortunately for them Liverpool are pulling out wins where last year they would have drawn; it's really looking grim. Their great friends Spurs are also going to be pretty down-hearted with 0 points from 3 games, if they manage to get anything at the Bridge I'll be surprised. If they win (completely unlikely outcome), they may have a very decent season however.

It's going to be an interesting few weeks (the internationals included).

Hmm. Levy, and by extension ENIC, is one of the richest owners in the Premiership. Not as much as Manure or Chelsea of course, but above most of the others... money isn't a worry, if you look at how much they've spent in the last few years.

They aren't going to spunkaway millions a year on a reserve player though if they can get £25m for him now are they though. Principles are one thing but cash talks.

To an extent. Once the Pavlyuchenko deal is sorted, they'll be much more amenable to it, I would imagine.

I'll be interested to see how Pavlyuchenko does.

Dont forget, this is a guy who, before the Euros, was in the Spartak reserves because he's difficult to motivate. Further, the Russian seasons been going for 5 (iirc) months now, so he'll be absolutely shattered by the time we get to the crucial season's end. And how long will it take him to settle? £12mil is a gamble, I feel. And hopefully one that will backfire massively. :Rodeo:

Tis true that I recall Pavluchenko from the CL qualifiers last year and he was very much hit and miss, capable of brilliance one minute and missing and open goal whilst tripping over a blade of grass (of unknown thickness, to be sure) the next.
If I recall, Spartak were willing to let him go for 5 or 6 million during last season. Not certain he is the answer, Brood.

Sounds like Berbatov to me...

Apparently the Arshavin deal is back on again. Yeesh, it's on and off more often than Toby's boyfriend :Rodeo:

Eek! He speaks Welsh!

Arshavin might be a terrific signing.

*sigh* all that money to buy pretty much anyone they want, and all we can afford is a loan signing from Barcelona and bringing back Maloney from Villa...still, at least we finally got rid of Gravesen. Result!
