Anyone suggesting Cutthroat Island will be keelhauled.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

the problem with the second and third pirate movies is that when the first was such a great success, Disney just had to burry their greasy hands to the wrist in the project. Ergo, all we got were two movies following the standard and well used disney formula. The first movie was kinda funny on its own, the second and third were only ever watchable because of the Depp character.

Blatantly the first film. The second one was ok. The third one was too long by far. It was almost as if they had too many ideas and effects and decided to keep going to use them all up.

And the bit on deck when they get married! Come on! Well camp! Everyone knows you cant say vows when your swashbuckling.

Thats the point of it.

Swash Buckle!

Sigh
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

I actually think they are equally awesome, allthough the third seemed a bit too long.

I hope they make an agreement and the new Pirates films become a reality.

1 gets points for the best story, but I just liked squidface character in PoC 2 too much not to vote for dead man's chest.

He really is the best character CGI I've seen in any film. Even beats smeegol from LOTR...and that's sayin alot.

Johnny depp confirmed, after Worlds End, that he love dtha character and he wouldn't mind making more movie. But the decided that the franchise needed a brake. Both so the actors and crew could persue other stuff and so that they could make a script that worked.

cool, i liked Sweeny Todd, so yeah.

and, as sad as it to say, i hadn't saw anything with Depp before PotC, and i honestly thought that he was british, that's how good his accent is. thought i heard, years later, him speaking in his normal voice and he kinda sounded like the typical surfer guy voice

the trilogy reminds me of the matrix. the movies were made without the initial intent of sequels in mind so they put together a two part movie to make a triology, because trilogies are apparently cooler than duologies. and then they fark it up.

back to the future and star wars do it right. even if you dont have a sequel in mind, design it to predict it in the firstplace, then you actually have good sequels

It's a no-brainer that the first Pirates movie was the best; however none of them is a patch on The Crimson Pirate
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Curse of the Black Pearl, hands down. I liked the other two as well, especially the hilarious end fight in Dead Man's Chest.

keelhaul me, cutthroat island was better than all the poc movies, i'll stand by that statement.
Geena davie is a dose of shite but bar johny deeps insane drunkenlike antics the poc movies were tripe, and even that wasnt enough to carry movies two and three.

Johnny Depp wants to do a fourth. He likes being a pirate way too much.
