Ok, here it is. Fiddler wasn't his apprentice but he did know WJ from pre-BB days.

The seguleh weren't brothers, what have you been smoking coco?

Dunsparrow was set up as an ambitious youngster already in MoI so I thought it was fine she popped up. I was more surprised that Quick Bens sister suddenly shows up out of the blue... that was a weird moment.

Yeah, in Bastion, when the Tenescowri are about to charge, Mok is unconscious and Thurule shouts at Envy, "Awaken our brother!"

Nyah nyah.

And how does talking about Dunsparrow's consecration to Hood take its power away?

Alot of the gods seem pretty subtle, esp ones like the "twin jesters of chance" and Hood. Just as the jesters are toying with Corabb, its is possible that Hood is using Dunsparrow to statisfy his own devices, although in a behind the scenes push/pull kinda way, after all, aren't mortals but pieces on a playing board? ;P

This whole thing with Fiddler/WJ's relationship to me really smacks of a GotMism. There are enough inconsistencies here that I'm willing to just throw up my hands and keep repeating "the timeline doesn't matter, the timeline doesn't matter."

Everything else either requires A) a loony theory, ;) presuppositions unsupported by the text, or C) time-travel.

First, I think the 'brother' references are what all Segulah call themselves, much like certain religions call each other 'brother', when there is no blood relationship.
