But is the world the demon Lilac describes Aral Gameleon or is it something else?

Plus from what cot and the three dragons said I got the impression there are a few world like Wu out there.

That's my point - Aral Gamelon is not a world any more than Mokra is. It's a style of power. In the Malazan World, you can't pop over to Aral Gamelon for a pint and a game of catch with a Hound of Shadow like you can with Meanas or frolic amongst the Lioson in Kurald Liosan or go to the resurrection spa in the Refugium.

Lilac lives in a different world from the Aptorians and Azalans. Greyfrog lives in a whole other world.

Some warrens are physical spaces, some are not.

- Abyss, thinks "Some warrens are physical spaces, some are not." may become the next "A position in a House and a position in a Deck reading are not the same thing, repeat..."...

*raises a tentative hand for her first post*

Lilac describes coming from a WORLD. Specifically a world that sounds rather like the Nascent. He talks about the giant Catfish for instance, the ones that tried to eat Karsa, and Trull Sengar.

When Paran and the Trygalle trade guild are passing through to the statues, they are described as being on the EDGE of the nascent. So perhaps it is a place, closer to chaos certainly. Because the world they come from has been overlayed with the warrens. (I don't have the books to hand but I forbear.)

The place they were was described as "The ground beneath the ground beneath hoods feet." Or something similar, and the Ere's holy site burn through the warrens to this place. IT seems possible to pass beween the warrens here without passing through chaos, if we note where Hedge walked.

So perhaps this is Aral Gameleon? The place beneath all of the imposistion of order. Wandering, rather than migration, Hold or House?

It would explain how they can pass through, live on the "edges" of warrens as they are decribed to, and see through the imposistions, as the Aptorian does?

addtion due to memory returning.

Allso, the Beast hold is nominally closer to chaos by description, as are ALL of the elder warrens, none of which were made by K'rul. I can't help thinking that there is a similarity there. So perhaps it is a wandering place. The way you channel it would be significantly different, if your not channelling the blood of K'rul. More like the shamanism of Nil and Nether, the Bargast, or the Eres.

What I'm trying to get at here is that perhaps the Beast Hold, Aral Gemeleon, and the holy sites of the Eres are all the same place, or accessable through each other, and the First two warrens, Darkness (KG) and Dragons (SD) wither co existed over the top, or came into being some time afterwards. Since SD could be seen as a more refined form, or a hold version of the Realms described.

Anyhoo, thanks for listening.

Ruhald makes a deal with the demons from lilacs world to divert the river, he diverts it into the nascent which then floods, which I take as him simply opening a warren and letting the water pour in and I don't think you can open a warren into a place in the same world as you! ...although I could be wrong (no not really!)

As to your catfish arguement, they were transported from lilacs world into the nascent along with the water

*smacks self on forehead*

Of course... Its a wandering section of the KE.... I forgot that. Could be they flooded it from Maels warren?

Makes sense, as you seem to be able to walk through one elder warren into another.. Eventually.

Aptorians and Azranlans are Meanas. Greyfrog comes from Gods only know where, and they aren't telling.

So Aral Gameloin ( know I'm misspelling, thank you.) could be the borders of the elder warrens.

Aral is Imass, there isn't a meaning given "Chen're aral lich'fayle" Is Menhir, touched by stone.
The name given to Toc the younger is Aral Fayle. (MOI)

The imass bit is probably coincidence and they flooded the nascent with that river lilac talked about (I think).

Aral Gameleon is NOT I repeat NOT the borders of the elder warrens that position belongs to Chaos.

Aral Gameleon is probably either an aspect like Mockra or its a world like Starvald Demain.
