lol...I don't believe anyone ever said any such thing. :(

The President (2012) said:

Please proceed, Governor.

Chris Christie (2016) said:

There it is.

Elizabeth Warren (2020) said:

And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.

Actually the only thing that takes less energy to recycle as it does to create new is aluminium.

And running out of landfill is a much smaller problem than GHG at the moment, so I'm with bwood all the way, only recycle cans.

ETA: And use as little plastic as possible

Anyone see the episode of Penn and Tellar, "Bullshit"?

It wasn't calling global warming bullshit, but it WAS calling "carbon credits" bullshit because there is so much fraud out there, as well as lack of standards or any hard regulatory science behind a lot of the companies.

They also came down really hard on Al Gore because he buys carbon credits to offset the tremendous amount of electricity his mansion uses and all of the jetting around that he does.

Guess who owns the company that sells him the carbon credits? Al Gore does! He opened the company 2 years before "An inconveniant truth" came out in theaters. So, he pays himself for his own environmental guilt. I'll bet that movie drummed up a lot of business for his company too!

That's nobel peace prize material if I've ever seen it.....

He has rectified that situation actually, Captain Conservative :D

How and when?

Just out of curiousity, does anyone have figures/numbers or whatever to indicate how much of climate change is naturally occuring vs. what man has caused?

I'm not a climate change denier, but given that humans causes 3% of the carbon dioxide release in a year it seems striking that we are placing so much blame on ourselves.

I'm not presenting an argument or talking point here: so convince me! :D

That's a 3% exponential growth over business as usual. Still think it means nothing?

Well I think calling him a "God" is a bit of a stretch, but I personally think he can do more good doing what he's doing now. Being President.....makes it harder to focus on one issue. Now if Obama or God Forbid McCain are smart....they will give him a position on the Cabinet, newly created, that deals with Climate Change.

How about ascended or soon to ascend? :D My point that he would have made a better president than Bush still stands. On your side of the pond, will there to be an African American in the Whitehouse, in the oval office, running the country?

Oh of course Gore actually WON the first election...but that's old news. Bush is top 5 worst presidents ever...easy.

I certainly hope Obama wins. McCain scares me, but he is way more climate conscious than his other party members. I'll give him that.

That's not what I read. Source please?

As for Gore being god/ascendent or whatever? Saying stuff like that just lends credence to the right's talking point of global warning being a "religion" that liberals have joined.

Again, I'm very happy with Obama's ideas on foreign policy, but I'm still not sold on his domestic approach (his economic plan per his website is still very sparse).
