Regarding who killed harry, this wud be fun if true
However, i personally have a feeling that it may have been Lara Wraith. Thomas is now back with the "In" crowd, so far as the white court`are concerned, he's next in line almost, as Lara's control of Lord Wraith has him back in high regard.
This High regard means he's obviously very important to her plans, as otherwise she wouldn't have bothered to reintegrate him, imho.
Now to be fair to Thomas, he always comes running when Harry needs him,, but i mean how many times can he escape by the skin of his teeth before he croaks it? Lara is possibly thinking that Dresdens hold over Thomas is too much of an obstacle to be allowed to stay, and so, working behind the scenes, gets someone to off him. It does fit in with the White Courts MO, no?
and if i'm correct, have most of the atttempts on his life not come after Lara found out about them being brothers?
thoughts and criticisms pls, just wondering if anyone came up with this idea, and just tossed it out, and for what reasons, ty.

Re Lasciel, WHITE NIGHT left the possibility of an element of Lash still in his head. it's not unthinkable. or someone else may find her coin and raise the real thing. dresden did say in CHANGES that he could call Laschiel to him in an instant, so some link is still there.
Re the haircut, thank god. He really needed one. Now just a shave and a few years in the gym and he'll be ready to be taken to public places!
- Abyss, ...could have done without those images, Apt...
After watching his Q&A session on youtube, i noticed he was quite specific in mentioning that LASH would return rather than LASCIEL if that helps any.
re: who is trying to kill Harry, I'm stumped, but since i've just started a re-read maybe i can pick up some clues. It's amusing to see the seeds of MOUSE's character right from the start in BLOOD RITES.

I am really jazzed about the plot for this one. What an interesting way to handle the follow up to a book where he was shot in the epilogue. Loves it! Looking forward to more Dresdencrack!! Next year is effing far away man! Thankfully I am currently reading SPIDER-MAN: THE DARKEST HOURS and that's tiding me over...and let's not forget that SIDE JOBS (the short story anthology) comes out next month! 2010 is a BUTCHERIFIC year!
As far as the other ghosts Harry might encounter....I am surprised no one has come up with Morgan yet. I actually would love to see the reunion between these two begrudging non-friends. That would be super cool.

My impression is that he is between worlds. He is not alive but he is not dead-dead either. He's stuck in transition. In the Ghost realm. Normally when people die they don't linger as ghosts, they pass on. So, I wouldn't expect him to meet Morgan or any of the other good guys. It's the bad guys that I figure may be lingering. People like the guy who cursed Dresden.
Maybe even The One Who Walks Behind.

If there is to be a good guy meeting I'm guessing he might meet his dad in ghost story. hasn't he gotten some ghostly warnings from him in some of the earlier books?

That was in a dream. His mother on the other hand. She seems to be getting more time now, last book revealed a lot.

I'm VERY curious to see how Butcher makes Harry's non-death and presumably eventual resurrection work.
Between his general power level and links to the Denariians (Lash), 'God's angels' (soulfire), the Demonreach link and the Winter Court fae, and possibly Odin, that demon that holds 3/4 of his true name and his mother's amulet for good measure, it seems likely he couldn't 'just die' even if he wanted to.

There's dead and then there's mostly dead.
This might be a way to wriggle out of Cassius' curse like K'rul, Nightchill and Draconus wriggled out of Kallor's curses. He can die alone here, be revived and possibly have a happy ending to his story. Perhaps he can shed some of the power that he's accumulated over the course of the series, but dealing with Cowl, the Black Council, Bob's dark origins and the Outer Reaches demon have yet to occur.
Or Butcher could take the harder route and have Dresden indeed die alone at the end of the series.

When the blurb mentioned enemies in the ghost world I first thought there might be some from the pile of bones the giant caterpillar(s) has been amassing over the last decade or so in the Nevernever outside Harry's place. But then, he didn't put them there, so...
Anyway, I think the possibilities of who they could be are too numerous to mention. One of the people in danger has to be Murphy though.
