I want one that's roaring and growling and stuff, with the caption: The Timeline is not (insert swearword here) important! Which we can then post when people start nagging about the age of a certain warrior's daughters, the age of a certain warriorwoman's son etc.

And he's physically holding a timeline and breaking it over one knee?

He's at least waving it in the air...

- Abyss, pedant.

Ah, but Pedantic Bear is supposed to be a somewhat more eloquent creature, he wouldn't throw your garden variety insults around or use curse words at random.

Pedantic Bear is a sophisticated bear.

fair enuf...

Pedantic bear notes that the Timeline is of no significance and is not important.
Pedantic bear advises that the only constructive response is 'Wolverine'.
Pedantic bear directs your attention to the search function which you previously omitted in your negligence.
Pedantic bear highlights your lack of familiarity with this forum and advises that you shut your noob face, in a nice way.

Better?

- Abyss, tries to keep everyone happy AND engages in ongoing efforts to ensure that all participants are obtaining sufficient emotional enjoyment...

I saw this thread and I immediately thought of an old comic strip character I made up. So I had to make a quick sketch of this:

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Not to be pedantic, but cows store food in one of their seven stomachs then regurg' it to eat at a later time. technically, any animal can vomit in its own mouth but animals, being animals, are unlikely to swallow it bad down as humans are wont to do. Pedantic Bear being an educated and overly academic sort, one can see how he might be so repulsed by a post as to have a visceral reaction resulting in some small amount of vomit being channeled from his stomach up into his mouth. Pedantic Bear being a polite bear however, he swallows it back so as not to make a scene. Plus it was only a little.

- Abyss, also notes there is no pedantic cow...

Not to be doubly pedantic, but capitalization to start sentences is normal in, at the least, English speaking nations.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
