Bizarrely, me and Studlock (I think?) were discussing this threshold a few months back in chat, when membership was about 8,300 or so.

I'd forgotten about it till i saw the numbers at 8980-somethin last week, and (rather sadly) I've been keeping an eye out since.

Ive just checked the online at once record which is 835. I remember when it was just over a hundred and I was dazzled by a site so large.
