I think fid will survive just to cary the song on, I thnik most of his squad will die except for corrab, its kind of annoying how his squad seems to get through each engagement without losing anyone, i think this is building up to a big massacre.
Tavore will survive, hopefully Karsa as well.

WTF is "Bottle" you keep referring to? Does Quick Ben have like, a talking jug or something? I can't recall any mention of that though... Unless you came up with a new name for the little objects he binds souls to, like Hairlock's puppet and stuff, then it's ok. I didn't like Hairlock either. He was a jerk.
...isn't he already dead though?
He's not being serious, is he? ...is he??

God wouldn't it be terrible if Fid ends up the only one left, the series ends with him playing a song. Not a dry eye in the house I say!

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."
I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Wait, are serious? Have you not read all the books? Bottle has been a character in HoC, BH, and RG. He only became important in BH really, then he kept having his own little gay PoV from then on.

Well it's not just that. He just annoys me. I wanted to kill him lots of times in the story.
Especially when he was being carried by Corrab and...Fiddler? No not him, well Corrab and someone else. I just don't like and I don't know really know why! I hope he gets killed in the most un-cool, disrespectful way there is. Then everyone forgets who he even was.

1) Aragan. I want him to be the new King of High House Shadow at the end, as he seems to get upgrades in every book (except obviously MT).
2) Fiddler. My favourite character in the series. He must live to play his sad, sad song. Or if he dies, it's because he uses his musical talent to fiddle away the CG's pain (stop the sniggering at the back), but his body can't take it.
3) Gesler and Stormy. Love those guys.
4) Apsalar. She deserves to live in happiness for a while, hopefully with ...
5) Crokus. So long as he stops using the stupid Cutter name.
6) Mappo. Just because he has "tragic death" written all over him.
7) Grub. Because we know he does and I want to be right with one of these.
8) Cotillion. Similar reason to Mappo. I can see him going out in a blaze of glory, trying to save Apsalar or Crokus. I want him to pull through.
9) Bruthen Trana! We'll probably never see him (or at least his spirit) again, so it's a pretty safe bet. Unless someone goes to fetch Kilmandaros, of course.
10) The Crippled God. I want him redeemed, by stopping the true threat facing the world - the KCCM.
11) Kallor. He's great. And the Errant too, just to annoy people.
One more thing: Karsa must die. He's walked through too many people/creatures without any long-term side effects. I want him to go on another rampage, then challenge Gruntle to a duel and get horribly humiliated. Either that, or Blend appears out of nowhere and smacks him round the head with a wine bottle. He deserves it.

Karsa will die. There's been to much biuld-up around that character for him not to do something huge and then pay the ultimate price for it.

Who do I want to be alive at the end. These are in no particular order even though they are numbered.
1. Crokus/Cutter, but I want him to grow up.
2. Whiskeyjack. Hah! He is dead you say? So was Hedge. He has ascended, and I really want him to end up with the Tiste Andii woman. If they have kids will they be soletaken were-dragons?
3. Apsalar. Not Not Apsalar the human female, but the Imass Apsalr and mistress of thieves. Every pantheon needs a Lord/Lady of Thieves.
4. Apsalar. The human because her as a loose canon is just awesome.
5. Lostara Yil. A favorite character of mine.
6. Minala. Who else is going to be there for Kalam when the poison finally leaks out of him?
7. Fiddler. I wish I could include all the Bridgeburners still left alive.
8. Quick Ben. If only to figure out what the hell he is.
9. Tool. I am in serious need of more chapters from his perspective. Maybe an Onrack/Tool + Kilava coming to save the day of Silverfox.
10. Paran. I wish I could say thay I want Silverfox to survive but I really do not see anything in that relationship I could count as genuine and workable. Paran needs to end up with Lostara Yil in my opinion.
Now who do I want to die? Surly/Laseen because she is horrible at running an empire.. Most of the Crimson Guard because they are just too damn haughty. Tavore. Such a tortured existence as hers is best put out of its misery. Kruppe because he always is too damn smug. Gag!
I will limit myself on who I want to die or else I will never finish this post.

Well while we're blatantly resurrecting folks with no chance of coming back...
I really, really, really hope Beshur gets resurrected and then lives through it all. I mean, he really stuck to his job when people in much higher stations were going balls-off-the-wall. Plus his death was just so humiliating, for him anyway. Aight, enough hints there, as usual whoever finds Waldo gets free rep. This one should be hard enough to last longer then the last couple I did.
And since I haven't contributed anything useful to this thread after a handful of posts: I hope Varat Taun lives. I felt really bad for him after he went bonkers and then had to live with being not bonkers after.

I loved Leoman right up until Y'Ghatan. After that...hopefully the Queen of Dreams is keeping him around to be Karsa's sex toy or something.

Leoman only just started to become interesting during BH, in my opinion.

I second that. The olive oil strategy and his realization that being part of the Apocalypse was just going to result in a dirt nap made him more intriguing. I can't wait to see what the QoD is going to want from him.

I vote for Paran, Fiddler, Apsalar and Karsa. I also don't think we've seen the last of Whiskeyjack since Hedge came back I'm holding out hope.

WJ will not be appearing again in this series. Maybe in a future one called "Adventures of the Dead Bridgeburners", featuring Hedge and his unlimited munitions (after he blows himself up again - he's an idiot).

My uninformed opinion.
Just because SE has decided to never write Whiskeyjack as a character again doesn't mean I do not want to see him come back to life. (I do not know what SE is going to do. I am not privy to his innermost thoughts and writings unlike it seems the handful of people here that can speak with his voice with 100% certainty.)
I have no idea why there is any venom associated with me hoping that a favorite character of mine comes back. Is Hedge the last of the Bridgeburner's we will see come back to life?
A writer can do with his world as he wishes. As a reader I can hope for whatever it is I wish to happen, does not mean it will happen.
Another note. What if ICE decides to write that Whiskeyjack is coming back? Is it a big deal in any case? Not in the least. I guess Whiskeyjack's death wouldn't have been so final if Rake had just run him through as he was taking his last "dying" breath.

I respect your "uninformed" opinion.
Perhaps what people should have mentioned is the interview where SE states with certainty that Whiskeyjack would not be appearing again in the series. You're entitled to your desire to see him again whatever SE has said past, present or future, noone can banish freethought.
