I was really enjoying "before they are hanged" last night and right in the middle of a quit exiting action scene (Logan's crew getting chased by Shrank or whatever) and bam Catastrophe!!

The pages went from like 284 and skipped to 315 out of no where... there were no torn pages it’s like they were never put in to begin with....

what’s worse is its not like I can just return it to the local books store....and I don’t want to wait weeks on end to try and order another copy so I can finish reading it...

Anyone else have anything like this happen in their copy...

Maybe some one can summarize the missing pages for me

at this point in time thats the only solution I can think of... I am missing 30 pages and it sucks

the story goes from Jezal trying to get Logan and Ferral from falling down a whole to Glokta talking to Ardee... and seeing as how Glokta was on a boat really really far from Adua I am pretty sure I am missing something...

Well not only are those 32 pages missing but they duplicate some pages also...


So like 383-414 is missing then so I go ahead and read page 415 to 475 and then bam it repeats 415 to like 460!!!!

So my book goes 1-383, 415-475, 415-460-474 and hopefully 475 to the end...

This happened to me for one of Robin Hobbs books. it was missing a whole chapter.
The events in that chapter are only referred to once much later on so i wasn't that worried.

This happened to me with Midnight Tides. It skipped from right before Udinaas and Feather Witch go into the Refugium, to when the Crippled God summons Sandalath back from death. Which just made no sense to me - everything to do with the fall of Trate, Sandalath arriving at the island, the introduction of Iron Bars and company ... all skipped.

YeS I am all for the executions...

I finished the book dont really know what happened in that 30 pages... except that Logan and crew lived, plus Logan started bangin Ferro...

Glokta made it home...

oh well Still a very good book with a strong ending.
