So who in Hood's name is the person who saves Koryk and Smiles by killing the seven Tiste Edur when the former two are in cornered and about to die? It doesn't say it on the book, at least not that I noticed.

Thanks.

1. Don't double post
2. Reread a section of any book before you ask simple questions that could be answered simply by rereading that secion of the book.
3. Did this really need a new thread?

1. You shouldn't lecture someone who has reasonable experience on the forum unless it is a recurring theme. (There has been problems with the editing function on this forum recently)
2. Duvodas already states that they do not think it is stated in a book, why reread when it may take you quite a while to find a quote when you can ask? Plus one in which a reread may not yield a result - SE doesn't explain everything.
3. Asking in a different thread would largely be called "derailing".

I do understand your point but I think you've been too hasty on the gun.

There's no need for apologies, you meant well - we do need to enforce rules or the forum would detoriate. I just think it was slightly too hasty given circumstances, although who am I to say? :D

1. Don't patronize me. Thanks.
And besides, I don't care about post count or anything like that. I don't even post here too often, for that matter.
2. Maybe I don't have the book with me for a re-read. Maybe I read it months ago and remembered that scene now. Maybe I'm too lazy to re-read. And as was previously said, why spend my time looking through the pages when I can get a quick answer here?
3. Well, I wanted an answer to my question. Can you recommend to me a better place to post it where everybody who can possibly help me can see it?

That said, let's move on and drop this thread. Moderators are welcome to delete it.

P.S. I apologize if I came out sort of rude.

Ya man. I memorised it once and said it to someone. Everyone else burst out laughing.

:D

Btw, can someone explain the whole Skulldeath-Smiles-special herbs matter for me? I don't think I get it.

i had a hard time with that one too, but this is what i think is going on.

1) smiles wants skulldeath, but she thinks he's gay, but he's only bi-sexual and is waiting for a royal personage to plant his seed.
2) braven tooth named him skulldeath after the plant because he's full of "seed" and would probably destroy the first woman he came with just like the skulldeath flower does. most likely this is just a tongue in cheek reference.
3) bottle gives smiles herbs that keep a lady from getting pregnant,(cuz skulldeath is full of "seed") and she thinks that they'll turn a guy man straight.

best i can do.

The last bit is incorrect. Smiles only tells other people that the herbs she asked Bottle for are to keep her from getting pregnant. They are herbs that are supposed to turn gay men straight.

From the conversation between Bottle and Koryk (RG p714)

"So, that concoction Smiles asked for - what does it do?"
"Supposed to change a man who prefers other men into one who prefers women. Does it work? I have no idea."

I had a different interpretation of part two as well, more on the lines of this guy was so attractive he was making other men stay away from women as well (like the skulldeath weed, he was making other men be like he was). But either interpretation makes sense to me.

Skulldeath is a ridiculous character. He sort of came out of nowhere, in classic SE style.

I wonder if he'll play a role in DoD?

@Dancer, jeez, way to handle that bro :D
