Alright, so just a few things I'd like to point out...

I'm pretty sure as Talamandas and Quick Ben are walking through the walls they have a dialogue about how Quick can feel how powerful the two mages in the homestead are. Take into account the fact that while everything around that home is going to shit cause of the war, Beauchelain and Korbal Broach remain untouched, and nothing gets into the house. Certainly that has to do with their summoned beings, but regardless of that, they are still strong enough to keep enough undead servants and demons going to keep themselves completely protected while the city fills with all kinds of baddies... Then take into account the fact that Quick Ben basically knocks the crap outta them then hightails it out of there before they can regain their wits. Had Beauchelain and Korbal Broach been too proud, they could have gone after him, and I'm sure he would have been sorely tested. Beauchelain and Korbal Broach are powerful, they just are also very secretive, so we don't know much beyond speculation.

The other thing that I'd like to point out, that I'm surprised no one else ever brought up, is the fact that right before Beak does his whole light all the candles and save 800 people from the Holds magic ritual from hell thing, he spends what a month or three running through the wilds with Captain Bitchola healing the marines and doing anything they can to keep them concealed. So yes, Beak dies when he can't put out the candles, but he still managed to protect 800 people from some of the most devastating magic we've seen in the books after having spent an extensive period of time sleeping little, and using the warrens almost constantly. Beak is a fucking powerhouse, there's no questioning it!
There is no struggle too vast, no odds too overwhelming, for even should we fail - should we fall - we will know that we have lived. ~ Anomander Rake
My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

If ure gonna have a most powerful mage thread it should only be mortals, otherwise it'd just be dominated by massively powerful beings like Rake, K'rul, and that bunch.

Tesormalandis. I know the name is mentioned only once in the whole series, but it's still my favourite name for any of the mages. And Stumpy is just silly.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

You are all wrong. Good options, but the top three are the three sorcerer kings of the Shal-Morzinn. They've ruled for thousands of years, they wiped out an entire clan of the T'lan Imass at the Battle of the Spires- "The Orshayn T'lan Imass attacked the Spires but were decimated by The Three". The Adjunct with her entire Fleet, and Quick Ben decided to avoid Shal-Morzinn at all costs, gating around that area of coastline. Also- Kelvaned and Lassen had no interest in trying to conquer Shal-Morzinn. Why is that? :-)

Also- Kallor. He isn't ascended (per the Curse of the K'rul), and he incinerated 7 million citizens to attain godhood. He then used that power to curse three elder gods... Also- the reason the crippled God was called down in the first place was a summoning of mages to try and stop Kallor...So... he's the most powerful- or was at that time.

[ But Kallor had prepared for their arrival by spitefully incinerating the continent and killing his seven million citizens. The shocked Elder Gods cursed the High King to live forever and never Ascend, and yet still suffer the ravages of time. At the same time, Kallor used the power of his subjects' deaths to curse each of his accusers in turn. Kallor's curse upon K'rul was that "you shall fade from the world, you shall be forgotten]
