The only problem I have with baseball is that the season is so damn long. The dog days of summer are hard to make it through sometimes....

Did anyone see the Yankees 9th inning comeback against the Cleavage Indians today? Expect more of the same!

League starts in just over a week, IIRC. 31st March right? I need to find someone with Setanta sports, cos that's one of the only places you can watch it here... Except 1 game a week at 1am on a sunday morning... *sigh*

Have you tried Live-footy.org ..... free premier league games and they may have MLB coverage

mlb.com is one of my favourited sites - the web packages are quite expensive though aren't they? Will try the live footy ones though. If they work and are free, I will be in your debt, Grumble!

mlb.com packages are definitely very pricey. Too rich for me, anyway. It sucks you guys don't have an American sports channel.

doesnt cost nearly as much as the cable/satellite package.
the regular video package is 90 bux a year, the audio package is 15bux/yr. the tv packages all include the radio feeds if you cant watch it at the time, not bad honestly

Yeah, except I don't even have the $15 a year to listen (and who wants that??) let alone $90 to watch. *sigh*

well.. a somewhat common practice is to listen to the radio feed and mute the TV because the tv commentators usually blow major ass.. radio rocks

I dunno, I watched a lot of SF Giants games when I worked out there - the TV commentators were pretty funny.

UGHHH...Joe Buck and Tim McCarver (FOX) are the worst! Do they announce your games on the west coast too?
Joe Morgan on ESPN's not quite as bad but is still annoying.
I get the YES Network so Paul O'Neill and Michael Kay handle most of the games and they ain't too bad. Better than Suzyn Waldman, at any rate.

I like Joe Morgan. He knows baseball....and is one of the most underrated players of all time.
I hate all the Yankee's broadcasters....and Michael Kay just SOUNDS ANNOYING.
Waldman...come on...she's the worst...she sounds like an old hooker.

Yeah, Michael Kay is a douche...but his douchiness is negated by the awesomeness that is Paul O'Neill...and Bobby Murcer.
Morgan is just laconic and boring...great baseball player, sure; but not a great announcer.
Suzyn Waldman is/was a groundbreaking figure in the advancement of female sports writers/broadcasters. That said, she still looks like an angry troll and has an extremely irritating voice.

I love how she says Rodger Clemens...
"OMG! of all the dramatic things I've eva seen! Raja Clemens in George Steinbrenners box" blah blah blah
She sounded like she was having an orgasm
