Brys also wasnt fighting to kill Rhulad. In fact he had to avoid all major veins and arteries. Being able to slice an opponents tendons and ligaments without hitting anything vital while theyre fighting back and only losing 2 fingers in the exchange seems worth it.

Anyway I didn't mean to derail the thread really.

Interesting that in GOTM Krull claims Tool as the best swordsman or a swordsman without equal in "this world" when talking to Raest however did he mean this world as in Kruppe's dream or the current actual world. I would say the latter because it would be pretty pointless to claim the best in kruppe's dream since tool was probably the only swordsman there.. but if you look at the current world or the world within GOTM then there is Brood, the Crimson gaurd and above all Rake!!

To that we don't know the answer. My original speculation was that Brys might not be as fast as Mok (who seems to be superhuman fast), I acknowledged Brys' skill as a superb fighter.

I would suggest that brys is as fast as mok, consider who watched that final duel in MT and his thoughts afterwards? Who went one on one with Icarium in BH, who had fought karsa who had never seen anyone as fast when they fought in HC.

Trull's own talents are a different matter. We don't know how much he got better in the time after Midnight Tides. When did he exactly become Knight of Shadow, for example? What new power did this position grant him?

I'd just like to point out that Brys massacered a guy who would have beaten a pretty high ranking seguleh. I think some of you are underestimating Rhulad. Brys's manhandling of Rhulad was one of the most impressive victories we've seen sword wise. I'd love to see Brys take on the seguleh second/dassem...

I'd also like to point out that Brys has ascended, and I think he is mor epowerfull now than he was when he took out Rhulad. I think as of now I would favor him over Mok.

In MoI Tool was barely defeated by Mok. However, that was while he was undead. It was also mentioned in MoI that the K'chain Che'mal hunters were slower because they were undead. So my question is whether Tool has received a speed boost, and if he has, whether it's enough to beat Mok. Any ideas?

Barely defeated? i didnt get that impression, seemed to me Mok was clearly the better swordsman(before Mok and Tool began the fight, both Tool and Toc came to the conclusion Mok was gonna kick butt)
but i suppose its open to interpretation.

Anywho to the question.....I still don't think a speed boost would be enough to beat Mok

I'd like to see a film called:
'The Texas Chainsaw Massacer vs. Jason'

The one with the mask would win. So, Mok.

Your memory serves you incorrectly.

And Ain''t_It_Just_ it belongs here, because we've seen Tool since. We've had more chance to gauge the Seguleh skill and the Imass plight. If we posted who would win now in the MoI forum it could be deceiving, it is a current issue. A RG issue.

just done a reread of MOI and my memory had served me correctly. From the very brief description of the fight Mok beat tool comprehensively.. actually before the fight started tool kind of knew he would lose and had conceded it as inevitable from the words he spoke.. "take toc out of here once you are done with me".

Ah I didnt see this thread so I posted on MOI forum

anyway I've already posted that Tool as flesh and blood swordsman defeated Kilava,a flesh and blood bonecaster.Lady Envy once told Toc that he cant imagine the strength Tool posseses.I dont know why but I think he might be much more powerful now
Maybe undead Imass can't grow more powerful over the ages

Or they're gradually losing their motivation and will to live, which is affecting their performance. When he was freed from the Ritual, Tool embraced life and hence has something to look forward to.
