Just finished American Gods. Quite good, but too quick of a read. I had to struggle to make it last more than a day. I would have liked to see it stretched out about another 1000 pages.

Well, as I mentioned elsewhere during cleaning/packing I stumbled onto a Chapter's gift card today. I swiftly proceeded to convert said card into literature. Thus:
"Proven Guilty"--my next dose of the Dresden files fix
"The last Light of the Sun" by Kay--a part of my ongoing readings of Kay's pseudo-historical stuff
"The Lies of Locke Lamora"--for the Book Club, plus there for its own sake
"Devices + Desires"--K. J. Parker's "Engineer trilogy", vol 1--saw this numerous times, finally decided topick it up
Richard Morgan's "Altered Carbon"--once I finish current reading pile, and possibly, the bunch of Perumov I got on my laptop, I intend read a bunch of cyberpunk, starting with the classics, and up to more modern stuff. Morgan got a lot of love on this forum, and I;m trusting its recommendation..

Picked up 'Blood Rites' and 'Dead Beat' by Butcher (dresden 6 and 7)
Also got 'The Year of Our War' by Steph Swainston
And saw 'Iron Angel' by Alan Campbell which I picked up because the picture on the cover is amazing, and his first book was pretty good.

I've just bought The Kingdom Beyond the Waves by Stephen Hunt, which appears to be some sort of loose sequel to The Court of the Air
And Zima Blue and Other Stories by Alastair Reynolds, which collects all his non Revelation Space 'Verse stories - I own a lot of them already, but it's nice to have them in one place.
