The dishes/plates from Wolves of the Calla. I'd think twice abouttelling those ladies I didn't enjoy dinner.
- how was dinner?
- the turkey was a little dry...
ziiiiingggg, splat, thud...

That scene were Sauron swings the mace and sends dozens of warriors flying is one of the coolest scenes in fantasy or war ever.
TOTALLY agree! I have had this discussion with others many times... Why can't they make a movie that is basically an hour and a half that is similar to that scene. I mean we have badass CGI now, I would love to see a movie that has that type of action and perspective with like 3 or 4 "Sauron type" warriors all wading through thousands of warriors to end up fighting each other. Obviously there is very little plot, mostly just awesome action... who needs plot anyway??
Last scene... the world they were fighting on is completely destroyed and the most badass dude (the last guy standing) is just standing there looking around at the devastation, like "ok, who's next?"

I don't know if there was a name for it, but the Grey Bear's skull that Bairoth Gild used in HoC where he tied leather straps to it and caved in the jhag sized horses chest with. Badass weapon.
Once again, to keep it on the MBotF line, Cotillions rope was an amazing addition. Never seen a weapon like that before.
Yes to Snaga the Sender, Swords of Night and Day, LotR weapons and everything else said in this thread thus far

Best Magic based weapon - Dragnipur ...duh
Best non-Magic based weapon - Roland's Guns
first runner up - Thorn from Tad William's Memory, Sorrow and Thorn...like the idea of a black blade made from a meteor.

The best part about Roland's gun is that it is forged from the broken metal of Excalibur - how sweet is that. BLAM!!!! I just shot you in the face with Excalibur - how about that for some manifest destiny!

I want to give an honourable mention for Felix Castor's mighty weapon in the series bearing his name - a tin whistle.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Didn't Redmask use a whip and hand-ax? I thought they were pretty cool.
Karsa's sword is pretty devastating.

Yeah, I've always loved characters with whips. The sound of it was awesome too. I mean, a whip with metal bits of it that could cut a blokes head off. Friggin cool.

What about the lightsaber? That has to be the coolest weapon ever.

This thread is called "in fantasy" right? Or is there something in the OP (I didn't read
)
Dragnipur
The Rope
Grond
Sauron's mace.
Witch-King's flail (which was actually a mace in the books, iirc - the movie changed it...probably to explain why Eowyn didn't get crushed straight away)
I'll admit, the whip and axe (Rygtha and Cal-something) that Red Mask used were cool...but not the best weapons by a long shot.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Aegis-Fang. I always felt that it appeared in the wrong series cause there was so much potential for an awesome warhammer. And in films/SciFi I liked the point-of-view gun in the Hitchhiker's Guide movie.

Durzo Blint's sword in the night angel triliogy was hardcore, especially covered in kakari juice.

I'd like to put in a vote for Eddie Izzard's version of a Star Trek phaser.
"Set phasers to 'A sudden interest in botany!'" :-D

It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

The truly cool thing about Redmask's weapons (REAPERS GALE SPOILERS HERE)
Spoiler
There was a fairly neat magic whip in Campbell's IRON ANGEL. Not 'best weapon ever' status, but neat.
- Abyss, ...always liked the energy bow from the old DUNGEONS & DRAGONS cartoon...

After reading Vellum and Ink, I have a soft spot for the Curzon-Youngblood Mark I chi-gun.
And the chi-lance or disruptors.
