hey cool, nice work
i still haven't started mine. I've done a bunch of sketches to work out the composition though, but no actual painting yet. Not for another week probably, i'm working a lot lately

These are both awesome paintings!
In the first one you can see Lady Envy's control over her seguleh, very well done.
In the second one the Seguleh look really really cool, you can almost feel there strength, also very well done! Although I always pictured them in my mind as having smooth masks.

hehe, yeah, we have very different emphasis in our pictures, which is really cool and kinda the point of this little painting-get-together:D

Grimhilde, your Envy reminded me of someone and now I finally figured it out! she's totally black haired sophie myles! (which is cool, she's beautiful!)

Although I didn't use her for reference at all:P
I used a Norwegian actress called Maria Bonnevie as reference:D

smooth masks are how i picture them too. I swear i remember them being described that way in the books, but i can't find any actual quote. I may have imagined it.

Yeah but that doesn't mean the mask can't have an irregular shape. It just means the surface of the mask isn't sandpaper and the marks aren't carved into the surface.
