been looking for a place to post on fred saberhagen, but cant seem to find any forums related to him, i came across this site by googling "fred saberhagen forums" and found a post relating to his swords books (which are excellent btw) so i hope it is ok to post more about mr saberhagen here.

now my question is:

i just got Ardneh's Sword book for xmas and at the bottom it says "continuing the empire of the east saga".

i kno Fred Sabergahen has a book called Empire of the East.

so i was just wondering if i should be reading empire of the east before ardnehs sword?

also are there any other books inbetween EotE and AS???

RIP Fred :p

I read Empire of the East when I was in my teen. Do read Empire of the east first then Ardneh Sword.

Spoiler...

I remember the thrill when the poem "I ride the elephant..." , literally comes true in the final battle in empire of the east.

... My memory kind of hazy, but i think the book of sword: Coinspinner, SHieldbreaker, Woundhealer, etc... comes after Empire of the east, then follow by the books of lost sword which introduced Ardneh 2, the gardener and the idea that the swords may comes back...

Ardneh Sword kind of restart or wrapped up the mythology of the sword world. That is Apollo, the bird headed gods of the egypt and the rest. The Beastlord, Ardneh2 and the Gardener i think was not mentioned.
