Sure, they don't really do much in that book, but they do look like the Nameless Ones we have had described.

Am I insane or are those two covers for Bonehunters also used for Glen Cook novels. The Second one is the same cover I have for The Tyranny of the Night series..first book

The cover of the first book of bonehunters is the cover for "A Cruel Wind" a compilation of three 'dread empire' books by Glen Cook, and the cover for book 2 is the cover for book 2 of The Tyranny of the Night.

I knew it! Well i know Erikson has a man crush on Cook....and I guess they don't use the same covers for Cook's books in Germany....interesting though

Also I thought his swords were shorter and more heavy looking, like crude cutlasses. Those look like a kind of bastard sword. And menackis, at least going in, used a rapier.
You know, just to derail my own thread, that thing with her using the rapier. That was damn stupid. She cursed herself for trying to use such a weapon against a serdomin warrior.. which was a foolish idea, but! Why was she using it at the first place then?
As a caravan guard, if they were attacked by a prepared group of bandits, then she'd have suffered the same fait. And that's normal, one on one, swordfighting on the ground. How was she going to use a rapier as a weapon when saddled? Was she going to use it as a miniture lance?

I don't know about the english market but in Germany they are both at publishers which are a part of Random House ... which is a part of Bertelsmann

SE had no idea about that until he saw the german cover, while the Glen Cook "A Cruel Wind" was next to it on the table.

I'm not going to remember the name of the book, but at Chapters the other day i spotted a completely unrelated fant book with a cover that was a dead ringer for the UK/CAN DG cover (Chain of Dogs dust storm 7C scene). I even took it to where the DG mmpg was and looked at them side by side.... all they had done was remove the dog heads.

you are correct apt, that is the copy that i have. I think it is the mass market paperback, but i am not sure. The dimensions of the book are 9.25 inches by 6 inches. These are the same dimensions for all of the volumes released in the US (I think) except for GotM and DG which were smaller hardback books. There are other paperback versions of the books up to BH out in the US that have the same cover art, but are just smaller.

edit: it is not the mass market paperback. amazon has it listed as paperback first edition. the whole set is going to look sweet.

I've seen very diverse sizes of all the books in my area of the country. So I'm not sure what the mass market sizes are.
There were some really cool ones here. Though I've already seen most of them from my own boredom. Never thought of making a thread about though...
One of my favorite was one of the first posted. Can't remember the country but it was GotM and Raest was kicking some ass.
