Yah but I still rooted for them against OSU
Or not really rooted...more like..."don't embarrass us" kinda thing.

Even as a SEC man, I can't believe you would root for Florida. Especially since they apparently didn't seem to need it!

You don't understand. We hate the Big 10...mainly because you guys have been weak of late...and oh yeah...you can't FUCKING COUNT
I just couldn't have OSU beat any SEC team....if it would've been someone like Texas, Notre Dame, blah blah...okay.

Well, once we ran out of fingers but kept adding schools, so it stayed the Big Ten.
So you were not pleased by last year's Michigan/Florida game?

Xander, someone needs to tell your boys to behave, or some other SEC team will have to beat Ohio in the championship game.

Uga, he was a damn good dawg
That kind of stuff happens at a lot of schools, they'll be suspended. Richt doesn't mess around. Michigan beating Florida last year was Karma for them losing to Ap State
By the way RLY, after Ohio St loses to USC....i wouldn't worry about them being beaten by UGA

That's harsh, especially given your contempt for the pac10. I think we'll take them. We've got a a bunch of good athletes, all with something to prove after the debacle of thee championship game. If things start to go badly, we'll unleash Pryor on them.

the usc/ohio st game wont matter if its the only loss for either team. what some people dont realize is that unless you're terrible in the game, or that team is in the bcs championship, the game only helps you. its early in the season and if the team is strong afterwards its chalked up to rust.
found a little factoid the other day. apparently florida hasnt travelled outside of florida for an away OOC game in 17 years

We can too count. It's just that, well, we always figured we weren't fooling anybody with the whole Northwestern being "Big" thing. So instead of calling it the Big 10 1/2 after Penn State joined, they just decided to round down
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

True, but they've happend to play MIAMI AND FLORIDA STATE, which up until a few years ago were two of the most elite programs in the country. oh and USC was a 6-6 team for quite some time. Can we please stop beating a dead horse?

Yes, I think the sec sucks/pac10 blows/big ten likes to watch discussion has been exhausted by now.

I'm curious to see how Notre Dame does this year. I've always followed them because my grandfather was a huge fan, but Charlie Weiss can bother me sometimes. Too arrogant.
I hope Oklahoma falls flat on their face this year, not a Bob Stoops fan.

I expect them to suck, but not as badly as last year.

I can see 7 wins...the next year will be the telling year...if they don't compete for BCS title Weiss has got to go.

Yeah, he might be able to get away with one more bad year. After that, he's GOT to produce or he's out.

Notre Dame is huge around here, it being an Indiana school. I look to see vast offensive improvement simply due to experience. The defense, on the other hand, is where they've been getting killed. Speed, speed, and more speed is what they need. You would think with their recruiting prowess that their team would be overall more athletic.
Look for a 5 to 8 win season. Five at worst, 8 at best I would figure with their schedule.

Yeah, 8 wins would be very optimistic. 5 might mean a new head coach.

and you bring a lot more fans to those games.. they could have gone to nebraska, oklahoma, michigan, penn state, etc.. there are plenty of programs across the nation that have been good over the last 17 years. never travelling outside of your rather smallish state is kind of sad. im not bashing the SEC, im bashing florida directly.

Well, we can all agree on that. Screw Florida.
