Yeah, Kallor did say that if the K'Chain Che'Malle didn't kill themselves then they would easily go uncontested up until the present day.

I know, and so did the Finnest.
But I didn't say he was super hard, Krull did.

"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

I voted Human, for many different reasons.
-First of all, there are a LOT of them
-Humans can become seriously powerfull(Quick Ben, Cowl, The Seguleh, Dancer and a whole bunch of others)
-Humans can, to some extent, influence the Gods.
-The Worshipper/worshipped god relationship thing.
-Humans can allso, in some cases, lead to a Gods downfall, you know what i mean.
And let us not forget that it is in fact the Humans that rule the Malazan world
The humans are like the sea, the rocks may be harder but the sea will grind them in to dust anyway

Some human's are actually gods too - or did shadowthrone cease to be human when he ascended? not too sure

I would think that you loose some (if not all of your "humanity" when you ascend/reach goodhood, ST most sertainly changed acording to Cotillion)

People are being silly... and stupid. How is a human being stronger than a dragon? How is anything stronger than a dragon?
This a pole about most powerfull beings, plural, as in race, as I understand it. Then why are people voting for 6 races at the same time?
You can't say mmh, Rake and Ruin are powerfull so the tiste race is powerfull. A T'lan Imass First Sword killed a undead Kell Hunter so the T'lan Imass are better than a KCCM. The logic is flawed (and handsome).
A reasonable list would be average specimen from each race, not a soletaken Imass, a Jaghut Tyrant or Andii Mage . On such a level, it would, in my not so humble opinion be:
Dragon
Deragoth
KCCM
Jaghut/FA
TTT
T'lan Imass
Soletaken
Tiste races
Imass
Humans.
Eres'al
and other races I don't remember.
Here I'm factoring in hight, speed, mass and natural magical potential.

I've gone for the FA. I think the way Karsa got bashed by that one swayed my vote... hang on a minute - a human done him with one punch too

Tool was undead and had been for millennia. The power of the First may have something to do with the occupant being fully alive. Shorter, but brighter candle and all that.
Just speculating here.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Someone neg repped me for the above post stating:
Quote
Fiddler fucked up a dragon Raest fucked up five.
I will repeat what I wrote above: I'm arguing that we're talking about races, as listed in the poll, not individual characters.
Fiddler used a crossbow firing a Moranth munition that not only is explosive but also messes up magical wards, etc. How does that make Fiddler or the human race stronger than a Dragon or the Eleint race? If anything the result was thanks to the moranth not humans.
Raest is a Jaghut Tyrant, perhaps the strongest of the Tyrants, certainly not a typical Jaghut. I'd take Ganath or the Jaghut mother from MoI prologue as an example of a typical Jaghut. Tyrants are most likely ascendant jaghut, and very bad ass ascendants at that.

Word... very true...and Fiddler allegedly fucking up a dragon doesnt mean he would have won that battle, if ruin would have decided to stretch his powers a little...
but do you really think KCM are stronger then the FA?? i know there is a defference in how strong karsa was between the two fights but Karsa beat a KCM to death but him and his giant buddies got waxed by a FA.

When I said KCCM I was kind of thinking about the matrons, which contradicts my assumption of average examples. I have this picture in my head of the Matrons being the only truly sentient/intelligent creature in a KCCM hive and things like the Kellhunters are near feral unintelligent beats that do the matrons workings.
But yeah, Matron over almost anything, but FA over a kelhunter or naruk.

The Fa might be slippery and wiggly but it's hard to duck when you're caught in the jaws of a giant flying lizard or on the recieving end of a torrent of magic.

Humans
T'lan Imass
KCCM
this poll is about the most powerful race. Not the race whose individuals would win in a fight. And that race would have to be one of the two human-ish races (humans, T'lan Imass) or the KCCM. Someone said that humans might not have survived KCCM or Jaghut, but they did. T'lan Imass are if anything, less advanced versions of Humans. Kinda like immensely powerful Neanderthals. And Humans do basically rule both most of the mundane worlds and most of the gods (kinda).
And the KCCM screw up all of creation. They have to make the list.
So its between those three. Everything else would win a battle but eventually either lose a war, or win at great price and then do something stupid or flawed and loose to survival of the fittest. In fact, thats what the KCCM did. But they've survived somehow.
