Man, I love the creative use of hood's anatomy in the marines' curses. It seems SE is getting more colorful with the curses as series progresses.

My personal fave in RG was "colder than hood's hairy arse" or something to that effect. One of the marines said it somewhere (can't remember what page) and it definitely made me LOL.

It is SE's historian nature coming out. Latin and Greek had 3 times the curse words that english does (even counting for British, Australian and US dialects). And many of them were gods' anatomy or deeds.

"Hood's hoary balls under a rock" or whatever was my favorite, but I think that was in BH.

Not exactly an anatomical reference, but "Hood's own arse-wipe" is rather amusing.

Though, the most amusing one throughout the books for me has got to be when Silchas Ruin confirms that Hood indeed has balls.

It was someone comparing Sinn and Quick Ben. They were saying that QB has all the mystery of an Imperial High Mage and is as scary as Hood's arse crack, but Sinn is "the real thing". Was someone in the 14th, just can't remember who.

Unfortunately one time when I was reading the dialogue I pictured Ron Burgundy saying, "by the balls of Hood!" you know that voice he uses when he says "By Odin's Raven!"; now I crack off laughing everytime someone makes any god/anatomy curse.
