How surprising and also unsurprising. Still, didn't expect it tonight.

Shocking ! The guy is obviously a top manager but when the owner wants to interfere in who you buy, play etc it can be difficult. Still expect Real Madrid to move as soon as they lose a game.
What Would Jack Do ?

And I see that Chelsea have already announced that Avram Grant is to be their new manager.
He was part of the reason that Mourinho got more and more disgruntled, as he was brought in against the special one's wishes. Not exactly the big name i would have expected Chelsea to go for, but I guess it helps to be mates with the billionaire owner.

I hope Chelsea go downhill now. I dislike Abramovich, he interferes too much in a negative sense.

I hope Man Utd give them 'six of the best trousers down'.
With all the money in the world you need the squad to gel and a good coach too.

I'm kind of worried, because all the logic says it shouldn't happen (Mourinho was a popular coach with most of the team, Grant's totally unproven at any sort of high level, it's puppetry by Roman anyway) so it probably will.

No chance. Levy and Comolli interfere even more than Abramovic.
It's a chame. Now the only reason to like Chelsea is that they're not Gooners or Mancs:p

Apparently Drogba cried when he heard Mourinho had left. Perhaps he isn't a play acting cheating diver after all. He could be just a sissy.

He's a soccer player. Also linked to "poofy hair/clothes/bling" and "rampant narcissist wanker" syndromes. In their defence, it's also quite common in American gheyball and basketball.
Cheers,

I still find it funny how soccer players are perceived in the the southern hemisphere. I played soccer at home in Ireland for years, and we used to call the rugby players big girls blouses. Maybe that's cos we played Gaelic Football in school too?
I however, reserve my respect for Hurling players, cos that (Hurling) is a hard bloody game. And that pun was intended.
But in keeping with Mezla's post, Drogba IS a sissy.
