But it actually was in House of Chains.

None of the previously known characters, except perhaps Gothos, appear in MT. It's all new people.

Besides Trull and Rhulad's 'brothers', you mean? Actually, Osserc does. Nyah nyah. :D

But it would seem a stretch to link the frosty demon with whatever is stored under Drift Avalii. I mean, now we know it's NOT Scabby, so the filed is pretty wide open.

Does anybody else remember what I was talking about above where Drift Avalii (btw one of my fave place names in the books) spawned some sort of spirit because of all the bones and offerings tossed into the depthless pits down under the island? I was sure I read something to that effect and it made me think that the ice-demon-elder-whatever had come from DA when it busted off in the shattering of KuEm.

It is also possible that this form of worship has been used/is in use by several cults or tribes all over Wu and therefore there could be multiple lesser bloodthirsty gods and demons like the one in Letheras. Krull himself used to be a bloody god in his time. :D

I remember the story about the spirit of the waterhole, a possible origin of the nameless sea god trapped in ice under Lether.

But a) I don't remember Drift Avalii having anything to do with it, and :D I thought the "waterhole spirit -> god" story was shown to be false later in MT or in RG. Right?

edit: In other news, this is my 3333rd post. Perhaps I post too much. I wish the Phoenix Inn counted, because then I would be joined by all those who are very active there.

thanks...I'm not trying to press this point...more to make sure I'm not crazy and inventing stories that aren't there. Pretty sure now the ice demon thing isn't related to Drift Avalii in any way.
