Inspired by the previous thread, I decided to do my own version. It was only supposed to be a quick one, in just three tones (White, Raw Umber, and Yellow Ochre), like a pencil drawing ... but I've ended up adding in some black and flesh tones. So it's dragging out. Anyways, this is about 60% done, the rest being detail work - especially on the hands, feet, face, and hair; maybe a better knife, and a label on the bottle.
And here's a view from further back, to show the full scale of the project. I'm using only the right half of a wide, panoramic canvas for Apsalar, I'm going to use the other half for Cutter, though I haven't decided what scene. Perhaps something from HoC instead of Bonehunters. The left half of this canvas has as much remaining as what I've used on the right so far:
(My other option is a dual picture of Apsalar - the half above, and the other half being her in action).

looks cool so far:)
But you should keep an eye on those hands and feet, they are way too small right now...and maybe you should add some more colour to her clothing so she doesn't completely blend in with the bed?
Keep up the good work:) I look forward to seeing the finished piece!

Yeah, the hands and feet are no-where near done, that's just paint to mark their locations. And the clothing is the same shade due to the fact that, originally, the whole thing was only supposed to be three shades ... but then I started using flesh-tones.

"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "
