being anoying.. Telorast and Curdle are the only two characters in the series i dislike not because of some characteristic but because the humour they're ment to introduce is awfull -at least in my eyes.

Wait, they're supposed to be comic relief!!!!

Bloody hell, if that's humour then so is Patrick Kielty's stand-up.

I just figured they were supposed to be minor, irritating plot devices that give away a few little secrets which will add up to understanding a lot in the end, and they'll probably make some play for the Throne of Shadow and surprise everyone.

Tnx, but I didn't mean their function. Where were they heading of to. I remember them discussing Not-Apsalar, but for the rest...

They're harassing Banaschar at the moment.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I seem to have a strange humor because I like those lizards BUT I dislike Hellian who is loved by the masses.

How could you possibly dislike Hellian?

Telorast and Curdle are okay. Annoying, but not too bad.

But basically she is a drunk who is a liability to everybody around her and she has more luck than anybody can hope for.

Corrabs' the same though- things like falling over in front of the Edur spears and managing to killt hem all by mistake, things like that- he's absurdly lucky, but that doesnt make him a burden to everyone else.

It's even said in RG that Hellian seems to becoem a much better sergeant when drunk, her fighting ability improves as does her leadership skills. She pulled her squad through Y'Ghatan while drunk as a cat remember.

Reminds me of that professional snooker player (cant recall his name atm- is it Alex Higgins?) who was an alcoholic and would play crap as anythign sober, but once he had a few (i.e 10!) pints inside him he was one of the best players in the world. I play pool better pissed, I must admit.

I also strongly prefer Telorast and Curdle to Hellian. Their talk with Banaschar made me laugh out loud, while Hellian seems desperately unfunny to me (but humor is, you know, subjective, and it appears I am in minority).

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't say Hellian is a liability, in any real way. As Fiddler observed, she managed to do what they should have been doing all along, on her own.

Hellian a liability? Have you actually read any of her scenes?

I think Hellian got a lot better in RG, especially by the time Fid and Co. found her in the village. It was especially funny when the seed-saver set his sights on her.

Sooo...is that dude going to hook up with Masan or what? :)

I really enjoy Telorast and Curdle (hence the sig) and I don't mind Helian, though I'm not especially excited by her scenes or her character. Maybe I've spent enough time around alcoholics so that the charm of drunks begins to wear thin.

On the subject of who's fun and who's not, the likes of Shurq Elaile and Ubala Pung leave me cold, but every page of Tehol and Bugg is a wonderful delight.

I'm with you.

Telorast and Curdle were talking about a she, who had been to Second Maiden Fort. I believe the she was Kilmandaros. Any idea what she was doing there?

I thought it was interesting that they seem to be the ghosts of dragons who Kila killed during her purge of the chunks of KE post breaking.

And their presence may mean Edgewalker is keepingan eye/hand on/in the game.

- Abyss, liked the not-not-Apsalar bit.

I love the little dragon skeleton rodents. They sort of remind me of Pinky and the brain... The murderous, insane, imoral version of Pinky and the Brain.

I figure that their scampering off on the island might be another thread SE forgot to tie up. I wouldn't be surprised if they show up in the company of Clip and those pathetic children of Rake at Black Coral in TtH.

Here's to Teloras and Curdle eating their brains...
