Hey,

ok so I had a quick question that is a result of poor memory.

I'm up to about page 140 or so, right after the scene were Sukul met with Hannan Mosag, who offered her the deal to join together to take care of Silchas Ruin.

My two questions are:
Why do Sukul and Sheltatha Lore want Silchas Ruin dead? and Why would they not want him to get his hands on Bloodeye's soul?

A third, but not as important right now question is, I can't remember who the father of the three sisters are, was it Ruin, Rake, or Bloodeye? Can't remember at all.

Any help would be great,

Thanks

I guess the silchas ruin is more powerful than the three, and so they want him dead. no particular reason other than that. anyway, a lot of people want to get their hands on the finnest as they can then use scabandari's power.

from MT, scabandari is the father of sheltatha lore, and osric for the other two.

anyway, if i may ask, why are you here before finishing the book? :heyhey:

In MT isn't Sheltatha Lore referred to the other's cousin?

Tiam is the mother of all three.

whatever who they are related to, this is how I understand (read: simplify) the thingy:

Shelthata Lore is aligned to Shadow (edur goddess)
Menandore is alignedt to Light (she's the golden dragon, right?)

Sukul Ankhadu is a middle thing, with both aspects (the 'fickle'). So the first two are always fighting each other (normally) while Sukul changes sides all the time. (First imprisoning Sheltatha together with Menandore, then plotting with Sheltatha to bring down Menandore...)

I have no idea who their 'father' or their 'mother' is, though I think it's fairly safe to assume that Tiam is mother to all three. For other relations *shrug* we don't have a lot of safe info on this big family.

They wan't Bloodeye's soul for themselves, basically. Ruin is set on getting it, so they think they'll have to kill him to stop it.

It's possible that Seltatha also heard what the Azath's deal was with Ruin, and that would definitely not be what they wanted - they wanted the soul, and it's power.

As far as we know (there's been nothing to contradict it in the books), Menandore and Sukuhl are Osserc's children, and Seltatha is Scabby's. All by Tiam.
Since Scabby and Osserc are brothers... well, it makes the "sister's" actual relations to each other quite confusing. Seltatha is both their half-sister and cousin.

Thank you for clarifying that. I was reading MT and RG back and forth, and it was really beginning to bother me--like an instance of early senility. Not that I am necessarily free from that.
