In MOI was a small passage that a wickan sensed that Stormy was about to ascent (if I remember correct). For some reason in the rest of the book it doesnt get mentioned anymore. I really hope this get mentioned again in the rest of books, because its not every day someone ascents...

I'm sure he will appear in other books. It was his "burnishing" within the fire warren that tempered him and Gesler and Truth to such a state. They themselves probably don't know what's next with regards to ascension as they are your A typical soldier and probably couldnt give a tiny rats.
No one really knows the true ins and outs of ascension but its probably to do with power, circumstance, will and need. Stormy and the other two don't seem to fussed to me so perhaps they will perpetually be almost there.
Unless someone gives them a nudge? Or when they die they will leave their mortal selves then ascend. or i could write something else. And again. Ill stop now.
Good diversion from work though. Lovely ta!

Such things are always required. Givens. Like Guffawing unnecessarily loud when someone stacks it.
On a more topic aspected note. I hope these character's make other appearances within the books because they are welcome light relief when trying to fathom what the fudge is actually going on.

Is it just me or have you mistaken Deadhouse Gates with Memories of Ice?
Either way more is revealed about the crew of the Silanda in HoC and BH

Were there any Wickans in MoI? Was Stormy even in it? I think you're mixing up MoI with HoC.
