I thought I'd check this guy out. "Old Man's War" was an easy quick read and mildly entertaining. Can't compare to anything by Asher or Simmons. Anyway my question is does "Ghost Brigade's" feature Perry or is it just about Jane Sagan and is it better?

The Ghost Brigades is not about John Perry - it's mostly about a third party who wasn't around in Old Man's War. Jane Sagan plays a large role, but it's more supporting than starring. It's a sequel, but it does stand on it's own fairly well (though the workings of the world might be a bit confusing if someone hasn't read OMW).
I'd say that it's on par with Old Man's War - maybe a bit better, but not significantly. If you like what you go with OMW, you should like The Ghost Brigades.

I've read OMW and tGB and also "The Android's Dream" by John Scalzi, and enjoyed every one of them. I consider the latter to be his best work, so you should really consider picking that one up.

I agree - The Android's Dream is the best of his books, though they are all very close in quality.

The third book in the series will reunite Jane Sagan and John Perry. I just read the sample first chapter of "Android's Dream" and about wet myself laughing at it.

There is a novella called The Sagan Diary that is published by Subterranean Press and is about Jane Sagan in the period of time between The Ghost Brigades and The Lost Colony (the next installment that comes out at the end of the month). I'd say it's for people who are already fans of Scalzi's work. Anyway, it is also available as an audiobook at his website for free.
