Hey, The Wertzone. Checked out your site. Loved it! Been meaning to message you. Would you be interested in trading links?

Yeah, go for it.

Hoping (fingers crossed) that by the middle of next week I'll be able to post a review of "a major fantasy novel that is the second in a planned series and the first book attracted a MAJOR amount of noise last year and won't be out on general sale for several months". Have to do some speedy reading though :D

Wert,

Being on the "right" side of the pond, you'll get it before other reviewers. So you'll be able to read it first, no worries!:D

Ah, living in Canada. . . The infamy!!!

Wert, thanks for the linkage. Just added yours. Good luck with the review. I'll be looking forward to it, whatever it may be :D

Pat, great job as always with your site. I'm hoping that one day I'll win one of your giveaways and get added to your esteemed list of websites :p

I know what book you speak of. The fanboy in me wants to read it as soon as it's in hand, the reviewer with a growing stack of review copies wants to wait until a bit closer to the release. We'll see how I decide - in the very least, I'll probably get said book at least a week later than you being in Arizona and all.

I could almost rage in frustration. It's sitting in the post office depot less than half a mile away which is now resolutely closed until Monday morning. Damn them!

That's unlucky man, but at least you know they have it. There have been instances where I've been anxiously awaiting a package, tracking it online only to find that the post office has delivered it to the wrong address! At least now you have something to look forward to :D

Pat,

I entered your Reaper's Gale contest like, almost 48 hours ago!

I assume my winning copy is stuck in the Post Office somewhere.

If I don't have it by tomorrow I shall have no choice but to unleash the sniper monkeys! :folken:

Yep, another interview, this time with Daniel Abraham. I'm sure a lot of you know him, but if not, then definitely check out his novel.

"For me, one of the more pleasant surprises and enjoyable reads of 2006 was the debut of Daniel Abraham’s “A Shadow In Summer”. While many readers, myself included, were probably turned on to Mr. Abraham by the George R. R. Martin recommendation, by no means was the book A Song Of Ice & Fire clone. On the contrary, Daniel Abraham possesses his own unique style and with volume II of the Long Price Quartet set for release this summer, I thought it prudent to do a little interview to hopefully shed some light on an up-and-coming writer that deserves to be read:"

Full interview here. Thanks as always for reading. Much love & respect.

Hey all, hope you had a great Easter weekend! Just wanted to let you know that I posted a review of Tim Lebbon?s ?Dusk/Dawn? duology HERE if you?re interested. In short, despite some flaws with the characters and overall plot, I really enjoyed the series. What I liked best was the world of Noreela itself, how it was brought to life and its eclectic cast of denizens. I think there?s a lot of unique concepts introduced with the books so it?s a worthwhile series to pick up if you?re looking for something different. Especially if you?re a fan of darker fantasy with horror elements. Also, Tim Lebbon is already at work on more stories in the Noreela universe, so I?m curious to see what he comes up with next. Thanks for reading!

Man it's been tough getting time to chat on these forums. Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to let you know about the latest reviews I've posted including:

"Season of the Witch" by Natasha Mostert
"The Tower of Shadows" by Drew C. Bowling
"Worldweavers" by Alma Alexander
"This Witch For Hire" by Kim Harrison
"Darkland" and "Bloodmind" by Liz Williams

So, there's a little extra reading if anyone is interested, and I think it's a nice little mix of reading material from YA fantasy to intellectual SF, supernatural suspense/thriller, sword & socerery fantasy and witches :)

Anyways, thanks as always and much love & respect.
