Yeah I completely agree- I messed up my spoiler tag the first time I wrote the post and I had written "...the one that went way past eerie and seared..." but forgot to put that back into the post on my edit.

absolutely the most eerie thing I have read ever. bar none. Even the scarecrows pale in comparison. SE is good at epic, good at horrifying, but doesn't feature much paranoia fuel.
