I did not even know RAT QUEENS existed...I've asked the Mrs. to pick me up the first trade to read on vacation.

That looks fucking awesome! Thanks folks!

GOLGOTH.
If you haven't read the sadly short-lived comic EMPIRE by Waid and Kitson, GO. GO NOW.
And then come back and agree with me. Think Dr Doom with a hefty dose of Lex Luthor who just happens to have conquered the world because he actually read the Evil Overlord List and then proceeded to make NONE of those mistakes.

and now today i saw this...

and then went and saw this...

....because holy fuckstars EMPIRE'S BACK! .... but also like this...

...because subscription, monthly, bullshit bullshit bullshit JUST GIVE ME THE WHOLE DAMN THING NOW AND I'LL GIVE YOU MONEY DAMMIT....

but hey, Waid's doing EMPIRE again so the world is a fractionally better place YAY!

Rat Queens is my new favorite. For some reason Amazon pulled Saga from being available on kindle.

Just read through the entirety of the "Death of the Family" storyline in the Batman comics.

I learned about it when I saw this gif:

And I felt I needed to read what ever fucked up thing Joker was getting up to, considering the title of this series is based on the orinal "A death in the family" story where the first Robin died.

Spoiler

Spoiler

After DoTF Batman makes a turning point into this Year Zero crap where they re do Bruces origin (IDK why I guess Snyder wanted to leave his mark upon the Batman franchise). I'm not a huge fan of where its going but hopefully they can get back to what they did with Court/Night of Owls.

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Total score this week! I got most of these from the resale bin. I only payed full price for Saga and Dresden and it all came out to less than $30. I also got a My Little Pony and a scribblenauts and a Wizard for the kids. Total score! The Preacher was $2.99 and in great condition. :)

I was pretty impressed with Trees #1, Warren Ellis' newest title. I think it has a lot of potential but I don't want to get too excited just yet. Definitely plan to see where Ellis takes the story though.

Also, Image Comics has the title for free at the moment so I recommend checking it out.

My mom is raving about Trees. She added it to her pull list at the comic shop. I'll have to check it out. Puck, that looks awesome.
Anyone read The Wicked + The Divine? How about Black Science?

Your mom has a pull list at a comic shop?

Is your mom the coolest mom ever?

I don't even think my mom could find the comic shop. LOL

Wicked + Divine is on my radar too, but I don't like to spend money on single issues. Will wait for a cheap TPB or a free issue. Black Science #1 is free, or at least it was when I downloaded it. Haven't read it yet, but I'll give it a looksee and let you know.

In other news, Rachel Rising Vol. 1 is half off at comixology. I loves me some Terry Moore.

I've been reading Skyward, an excellent YA fantasy, and also dirt cheap at comixology.

P.S. My mom has a pull list at the mom jeans store.

I've read the first issue. It was QUITE good. As Image titles usually are. I was impressed and intrigued enough to throw it immediately on my pull list.

I'm a mum and I have a pull list that currently consists of 18 titles. Does that mean I've finally become cool? Because if so, I'm totally adding it to my CV.
